This is the one where the news remains dull, and all the irons you bought in the last thread have developed limescale.

I had a slice of toast and now I feel a bit sick. It must be because I am low carbing. The toast was worth it though,it was slightly cold and hard so the butter went on the way it used to in a 1990s B&B.

I ordered a wheelbarrow. It came today.

Wondering why we don’t see people on tv, soapie, do normal things, like cook, clean, eat, bathroom. That’s my day.

Yes. You only see it in American shows sheer the guy is cooking for the gal, with lots of chopped up perfect stuff in the kitchen, and a playful tasting bit.
WouldBeGood · 07/09/2020 11:59

And they always have the pasta on before the gal arrives 🤷🏻‍♀️

BakedBeeeen · 07/09/2020 12:03

The pencil sharpener I ordered for my son has just arrived. He needs to have one that collects the sharpenings in a little pot.

BurtonHouse · 07/09/2020 12:43

Somebody has put Bahlsen biscuits in the office biscuit box 🙂

SunshineCake · 07/09/2020 13:00

Last of my school aged children went back today. Feels very quiet as just adult son and animals here.

Have spent the morning writing a list of the food in the cupboards, freezer and pantry and have started writing a meal plan. We have a ridiculous amount of food in the house and it is time it got eaten. Going to ignore the fact that one child probably won't eat certain things as fed up of others missing out.

I filled up the cat biscuit box (might be too exciting for cats that can read).

littlecatfeet · 07/09/2020 13:03

I've made a cup of tea, put my feet up, and am indulging in one of my favourite pastimes - browsing the Shein website and finding Outrageous Things I Would Wear If I Were A Daytime Soap Character.

Mrsjayy · 07/09/2020 13:03

I cleaned out my cutlery drawer this morning after washing and putting away my new shiny IKEA cutlery I bought yesterday, tis very shinyGrin

Starisnotanumber · 07/09/2020 13:04

Recycling bins have been emptied I have to bring them in and it's raining

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 07/09/2020 13:09

I failed to notice the low wall when I was parking the car at gymnastics and bumped into it.

0blio · 07/09/2020 13:13

I pruned a big spiky shrub yesterday and my arms ache today but I've also done a lot of knitting so it could be that.

BamboozledandBefuddled · 07/09/2020 13:15

I have finally mastered casting on in the middle of a row of knitting. I'm feeling ridiculously pleased with myself Grin

Frownette · 07/09/2020 14:04

I picked a friend up from hospital and he has got me slightly more drunk than anticipated.

We've just had two beers and I need to pack him off back home shortly.

Maxineputyourredshoeson · 07/09/2020 14:06

sueelleker · 07/09/2020 14:14

@longtompot Is your yeast fresh?

Spudlet · 07/09/2020 14:26

I’ve ordered myself a new bike helmet. It was £5 more expensive because it’s grey instead of yellow or red. The black one was even cheaper than the yellow one but they didn’t have it in stock.

It’s going to take a week on click and collect, goodness knows why when apparently it’s in stock Hmm

popsydoodle4444 · 07/09/2020 14:37

I've just accidentally discovered a Mumsnet post of mine from last year was picked up an Australian journalist and an article was published about if.

SunshineCake · 07/09/2020 14:51

@ReallySpicyCurry

38 pages!

Anyone up for thread 3?

My heart nearly stopped at the thought this wouldn't happen. We'll get to thread 42 I think. At least Grin.

(Looking forward to all the Christmas gift purchase posts as need ideas and doing all on line this year, probably ).

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 07/09/2020 15:13

I've just made melting moments with Trex that was due up in 2018... They look and smell fine, so I think I'll just pretend I didn't notice!

FawnDrench · 07/09/2020 15:14

Well, as I predicted, I did indeed forget some items when shopping this morning- namely coffee, poo bags for the dog and cream.

So my prediction of yesterday wasn't even right as I forgot 3, not 2 items.

I wonder who will be the last to post on this thread - bet it won't be me.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 07/09/2020 15:14

They were in the oven when I saw the date. It has now gone in the bin though!

Lazysundayafternoons · 07/09/2020 17:00

Had to keep ds off school today.

He caught a cold and cough that his cousins had last week. Cousins had covid test which came back negative so I know it's just a normal cold with ds, but following school guidelines I havent sent him in.

Luckily his inhalers have really helped already and he will probably be back to school by Wednesday.

Nicolastuffedone · 07/09/2020 17:03

I was going to do my washing today but it was pouring and I like to hang it out

Taswama · 07/09/2020 17:13

I'd love a new thread. Any chance of a link so we don't miss it?

bubblesforlife · 07/09/2020 17:30

I got coughed on repeatedly in a restaurant and the lady attacked me when I expressed that I was uncomfortable.
