Come and tell me your dull and unexciting news THE SEQUEL

This is the one where the news remains dull, and all the irons you bought in the last thread have developed limescale.

I had a slice of toast and now I feel a bit sick. It must be because I am low carbing. The toast was worth it though,it was slightly cold and hard so the butter went on the way it used to in a 1990s B&B.

I ordered a wheelbarrow. It came today.

My cars playing up, the battery keeps dying and the MOT is due next month, need to decide whether to pay £100 for a battery or trade the whole bloody thing in and get another car. Cars are so boring and expensive I just want to get from A to B

Gainesville · 27/08/2020 19:31

My 9 mo has discovered peanut butter on toast. I'm so proud.

I am slowly building up my Amazon "subscribe and save". I just need find someone to share the 10,000 kitchen rolls I'll receive each month.

Daisymclazy · 27/08/2020 19:32

Last Wednesday I was going to put the bins out, when I realised it was Tuesday so didn't.

Gainesville · 27/08/2020 19:34

@happinessischocolate get the car in for MOT early (can do it up to one month before it is due I believe!) and get the prognosis first. I learnt this lesson on my first car when I got a new windscreen for my 18th (thanks dad) which then was scrapped two days later. Always get the MOT done first before filling up and getting work done such as a new battery.

PenguinsOnParade · 27/08/2020 19:38

We had a lazy dinner of French toast as I really couldn't be bothered today between side effects from meds I'm on for a chronic condition and just the awful weather. I don't know if I made it a bit too exciting though as I made it with cheese sandwiches instead of plain slices of bread and had garlic mayo to dip it in.

abouttogoon · 27/08/2020 19:43

I put the heating on

TellySavalashairbrush · 27/08/2020 19:47

I used dd new heated barrel rollers today. For 20 minutes my hair looked thick and luxurious. It then returned to its normal flat-as-a-pancake like appearance again 😩

downwardspiral1 · 27/08/2020 19:50

It was raining this evening so I moved my park walk with a friend to tomorrow morning.

At 9 as it looks as if it will be sunny then.

WarmSausageTea · 27/08/2020 19:50

We picked some windfall apples today, then it rained. We might watch Greg’s Anatomy later.

Dylanpickle · 27/08/2020 19:53

A new heat sealer packaging machine was delivered for the business today, which seals really thick packaging.

We practiced packaging things including a tea towel, glove and a mug but the fun got out of hand when someone heat sealed the Stanley knife, which we use for opening packaging, in the packaging.

MiniDoofa · 27/08/2020 20:08

I can’t sleep, have to be up in 3.5 hours. The excitement of this thread might be keeping me awake.

Spudlet · 27/08/2020 20:14

I went for a run in the rain. I didn’t really want to go, but actually once I got out there I really enjoyed it.

School shoe shopping tomorrow. I’m really hoping that is dull. Last time we took DS’s balance bike to get him moving and he got away from me on the way back to the car and nearly took out a little old lady Blush

Purpleice · 27/08/2020 20:32

Dh came home all stressed but has now had beer and fish and chips for a treat, so is feeling better.
I had some of the chips.

Lazysundayafternoons · 27/08/2020 20:35

I'm hungry

Newjeansrippedjeans · 27/08/2020 20:36

My baby has been awake for 6 hours and getting ridiculous with the overtiredness. He is now asleep so I can eat. Wait, that is exciting! Grin

SRK16 · 27/08/2020 20:39

I’m ill and want to sleep but I’m too congested. Wah.

On the plus I have a Lindt bar for when I feel better.

Purplecatshopaholic · 27/08/2020 20:42

I am ignoring Grazia magazine to mooch about on here...

Roystonv · 27/08/2020 20:43

We bought some lining paper today. We were going to have an ice cream on the journey home but Dh needed a pee so we rushed home. Love cold, dry toast and butter.

Todaywewilldobetter · 27/08/2020 20:45

@WarmSausageTea

Is that the dull prequel? Grin
AuntieDolly · 27/08/2020 20:51

I managed to drop 2 bags of stuff to the charity shop

PersisFord · 27/08/2020 21:02

I love this thread! My dishwasher hasn’t been working very well so today I ran it on a hot wash with a dishwasher cleaner then topped up the salt and rinse aid. I’ll see if that improves things. If not I’ll take the whirly arms off and see if anything is stuck in them.

Thought about eating a magnum tonight but by the time I had put the kids to bed I couldn’t be bothered to go down and get it so I am looking at tile websites in bed instead. I might eat it tomorrow if DH doesn’t get to it first, but it’s not my favourite flavour so I don’t care really.

MrsBobDylan · 27/08/2020 21:12

I might mop the outside of our static caravan tomorrow.

DH slept for 4 hours today before he realised he was constipated. I had to visit two pharmacies to find glycerin suppositories. He has promised to start eating more fibre.

I resent him a little for wasting a day sleeping because he is too embarrassed to buy anything to help him poo.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 27/08/2020 21:14

I just prepared 1 kg of stawberries for us to eat.

drspouse · 27/08/2020 21:26

We have a new landing carpet. It is grey.

Todaywewilldobetter · 27/08/2020 21:26

My diffuser wasnt broken. It had just run out of water. Happy days
