Come and tell me your dull and unexciting news THE SEQUEL

This is the one where the news remains dull, and all the irons you bought in the last thread have developed limescale.

I had a slice of toast and now I feel a bit sick. It must be because I am low carbing. The toast was worth it though,it was slightly cold and hard so the butter went on the way it used to in a 1990s B&B.

I ordered a wheelbarrow. It came today.

Anyone up for thread 3?

I'm up for thread 3.

I watched Knives Out instead of having an early night after a busy weekend. I will be tired tomorrow but it will be worth it because Knives Out was excellent.

WouldBeGood · 06/09/2020 23:29

I’m up for thread three. I am finding this fascinating and soothing.

ReallySpicyCurry · 06/09/2020 23:30

I'll start thread 3 tomorrow then! Quick, everyone, fill up the last 80 posts with absolutely nothing of interest, pronto!

It's getting chilly here.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 06/09/2020 23:43

OP, every time I see your name it makes me hungry. Even at totally inappropriate times like now!

DC1 starts secondary school tomorrow so I spent a large part of the day sewing in name labels. DH roasted a chicken and we watched the cricket (we won!)

BreconBeBuggered · 06/09/2020 23:44

Gave the dog a bath and a flea treatment yesterday, and he wasn't a bit grateful.

mathanxiety · 07/09/2020 00:11

I took Dcat for her rabies shot today. She hated the car, the vet, the vet's assistant, and now she also hates me. So much hissing Shock

mathanxiety · 07/09/2020 00:14

Just found a barfed up furball behind the couch. Nice one, cat.

littlecatfeet · 07/09/2020 00:50

@BreconBeBuggered

That reminds me that my husband wants us to give the dog a bath (with new anti-allergy shampoo) together on the first fine day we get.

This is as close as we've been to 'date night' for ages.

QuestionableMouse · 07/09/2020 01:10

I bought an eos lip balm. It's honey apple and tastes quite nice. Not sure it's actually doing a thing for my lips though.

mammato5 · 07/09/2020 01:13

After all the months off school I suddenly can't be bothered to do the school run in the morning. Must have done some damage when I banged my head on the kitchen cupboard door.

CatAndHisKit · 07/09/2020 01:20

Had a very good offer earlier today on an item I'm selling on ebay, I've responded asking if they could go up a little, but that buyer has gone AWOL (even after I then said i'll accept anyway Grin ).
I've now had a crap offer from someone else, half of the original one.
Sooo boring.
Why couldn't my evening be more exciting with some cash flowing in easily?

CatAndHisKit · 07/09/2020 01:23

I took Dcat for her rabies shot today...So much hissing

Grin did you expect her to enjoy it?

ElizabethMainwaring · 07/09/2020 01:43

DH and I put up the gazebo for the first time today.
And then we took it down.

Frownette · 07/09/2020 01:48

@FawnDrench

The petite black cat that usually visits our garden has made a loud, flamboyant and "well would you just look at me" reappearance this morning, after ignoring us for about 10 days.

However the dog is not impressed at all with this turn of events, and showed his disapproval by barking furiously and trying to leap through the window to have words.

I think they're in love really, but in denial about their feelings at the same time.

Must be love, love, love.

I need another shower. Although I had one earlier it didn't sort out my hair properly so another shower required.

Grodesperate · 07/09/2020 03:55

I just successfully peeled and ate a tangerine one handed while breastfeeding. Feel quite proud.

mathanxiety · 07/09/2020 04:07

Grin no, and it's an improvement over last year's performance which necessitated a plaster for the vet.

Frownette · 07/09/2020 05:23

That sounds like quite a feat.

I'm not sure I've been up to anything exciting, just did a sneeze.

Champagneforeveryone · 07/09/2020 09:06

I'm on a rest day today. My day will be spent doing housework and walking DDogs.

I am however still in bed after an excellent sleep, as DH took DS to 6th form instead of me.

Frownette · 07/09/2020 09:12

I just sneezed again.

longtompot · 07/09/2020 10:38

I tried to make some bread yesterday with a tried & tested recipe I've used many times. It didn't prove at all! I have another one on the go today so hopefully that one will work.

MrsWooster · 07/09/2020 11:30

I’m MNing and I’ve had my feet up on the coffee table for so long that my knees have locked straight. I shall have to stay here.

Autumnchill · 07/09/2020 11:38

I'm going to the post office to return a top as they've sent a 10 instead of a 14

Starisnotanumber · 07/09/2020 11:45

My flight to Spain has not been cancelled. Other airlines have cancelled their flights for the same dates
