This is the one where the news remains dull, and all the irons you bought in the last thread have developed limescale.

I had a slice of toast and now I feel a bit sick. It must be because I am low carbing.The toast was worth it though,it was slightly cold and hard so the butter went on the way it used to in a 1990s B&B.

I ordered a wheelbarrow. It came today.

I am grudgingly getting ready for the first of three 12 hour shifts.

I am already tired so god knows what I'll be like my Monday night.

The painter is scheduled to repaint my office in work and I can’t decide between beige and cream. Yay.

I love all this boring news. It's a little window on everyday life. I don't find it dull

@BuddhaAtSea - I've never had one of those but want one. They do look so welcoming on winter nights.Have to go to iKEA soon anyway, to kit DS out for move to uni...

DD has gymnastics today then we are meeting friends at the big park that has a coffee stand.

The new pants I bought her are 'too tight' ie not falling off her arse, so i will have to buy more.

I have quite a bit of washing and ironing to do.

Should have been in Milan this weekend for the Italian Grand Prix.

Instead I'm going to do the food shop and bringing ds to training. And spend my time cooking and cleaning for the weekend.

I’m changing the sheets on our bed and I’ve just reinstated our electric blanket after summer. I am going to love cranking the heat up this evening.

@monkeyonthetable I didn’t see them in IKea, I ordered mine off eBay :), £9.99, works with 2AA batteries, so no wires.

My SIL and family are coming tomorrow and I still don't know if they are staying for a meal.

Just having a mug of tea and toast on the balcony before the sun goes in (going to be cloudy today apparently). A lone parakeet just flew past. I'm wondering whether I will manage a brutal clothes decluttering today or will just part with a couple of bits.

I need to buy my daughter's PE kit today.

DH has alreaady been to the shops and I have started housework by cleaning NDN's cat litter.
Now I am having my second coffee while looking out into the grey overcast sky.
Both DC still asleep.

My mother is displeased because her newspaper hasn't been delivered.
The uniform hasn't labelled itself, sadly...
Brownies is having its first (outdoor, distanced) meeting this week since lockdown - bonus 90 minutes of freedom, whoop!
We're going out for a picnic today. In coats and umbrellas probably.

I am picking up new pants and bladder control medication for DD later.

My knee is slightly swollen and feels very bruised. There is no cause for this afaik. DS2 has been playing the same guitar riff for about 45 mins.

We have the same with the guitar riff. When I hear parents nagging their children to do their music practice, I always wryly think you should be careful what you wish for

I had a cheeseburger from the new place in town for lunch. It was on brioche and the onions were caramelised, it was more like a dessert it was so sweet. Didn't enjoy it.

I am sort of cleaning and its very boring.

I am trying to decide whether to tidy up or have another biscuit. (You are quite right, absolute no-brainer, it's going to be the biscuit isn't it?)

DS turned the hoover on. HRH Sodding Kitten bolted for his usual hidey hole under the kitchen units through a gap by the washing machine and nearly got wedged. He’s been eating for England this week and grown lots.
