This is the one where the news remains dull, and all the irons you bought in the last thread have developed limescale.

I had a slice of toast and now I feel a bit sick. It must be because I am low carbing. The toast was worth it though,it was slightly cold and hard so the butter went on the way it used to in a 1990s B&B.

I ordered a wheelbarrow. It came today.

Sainsbury's subbed my knock off Berocca fizzy orange vitamin C tablets for berry ones. They taste a bit like calpol, which doesn't go nicely with breakfast.

(I don't know if they actually help, but I had back-to-back colds last year, so thought I'd give them a go.)

Frownette · 03/09/2020 20:42

I felt like a rude cow yesterday I think it was when I was on the phone to a friend and he said love you just as I was hanging up.

So when I phoned him today I was primed and when he said love you I said love you back before end of call. I felt my mission was complete.

I had a text from the GP today cordially inviting me to a flu jab. I am the envy of my family - nobody else had a text bestowed upon them.

SpeedofaSloth · 03/09/2020 21:08

I need to get a kindle / tablet type of thing into the pockets, a book, the usual wallet, key, mobile stuff and perhaps a coffee cup

I reckon everything except the coffee cup would go in.

You have a Downtown Abbey GP, no wonder people are envious.

Next they will be asking you to do a formal dance in reception when you graciously visit and flutter your fan.

My dogs flea has friends

I’ve done my first Asda order since March. There are apparently no leeks or tonic water.

I am far too excited about finally being able to get Worcestershire sauce.

I stubbed my toe rushing to answer the door.

This thread is the high point of my day. Again.

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 03/09/2020 22:14

I was also unsure where to put the apostrophe in my first sentence.

I feel shame

QuestionableMouse · 03/09/2020 22:38

Dog's as the flea belongs to the dog. 🐶🐶

0blio · 03/09/2020 23:00

@SunshineCake if you check on your local council's website it will tell you if they do the alerts. It's great, I don't suffer from wrong bin day anxiety any more.

alangarneristerrifying · 03/09/2020 23:06

I finished my book. In case that's too exciting, I realised I forgot to put hair oil on yesterday after my bath, so put it on dry hair today, but I don't think it will do the same job.

goose1964 · 03/09/2020 23:18

My mother in law comes out of hospital, perhaps, if she doesn't have another episode. If this seems a bit lively we've been told this every day this week.

HalloBrian · 03/09/2020 23:26

I got drunk after a church leadership online meeting to help me sleep. Trying to hide it from my entirely sensible husband by staying up late watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix. Failing miserably...

WouldBeGood · 03/09/2020 23:32

I’ve had to eat a mini bounty as it was the only sweet I could find at the bottom of my bag and I can’t be bothered to go downstairs.

WouldBeGood · 03/09/2020 23:32

*two mini bounties

WouldBeGood · 03/09/2020 23:32

Bountys?

BillywigSting · 03/09/2020 23:46

I found the unassembled bits of a teddy bear I was making for ds when I did my clearing up of the spare room yesterday.

I finally finished putting him together tonight. He's a bit Jim Henson but I think he's quite sweet.

Ds might be a bit old for him now but I'll show him tomorrow morning and see what he thinks of it. If he doesn't want him he can sit on my bookshelf.

Hate to break the dullness and general lack of life in the group lol but as I was watching subconsciously alvin and the chipmunks....I witnessed a break in and has to contact the police!!
I feel like i have a purpose.

littlecatfeet · 04/09/2020 00:28

I am highly suggestible.

Would now kill for a bounty bar. Or at least maim. Would definitely say something scathing to an innocent person for a bounty bar.

Oh god I'm completely like that as well. I see a hot chocolate, I want it. I see a glass of wine, I want it.
PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 04/09/2020 01:16

Hot chocolate made with coconut milk tastes just like a Bounty. I now make Thai curry with two tins of milk, not one, so I can pinch a cupful.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 04/09/2020 06:56

I think the little bear looks like a reader. I bet he'd love to sit on the bookshelf.
My day off today and I woke up with a migraine (sign that it gets warmer). Migraine for me: managable pain, nausea, eye problems for about 3 days. That's the weekend accounted for.

mathanxiety · 04/09/2020 07:13

I tidied up the sitting room and did Trivia with DD1 and her friend and friend's parents and aunts and sisters, also friend's BF and friend's sister's BF. Came second. Is there really a difference between rotini and fusilli? I looked at photos of what purported to be both of them for about half an hour, baffled.

sueelleker · 04/09/2020 07:22

My DH says the coconut bars that Aldi and Lidl do are quite good. (He's into coconut at the moment)

BillywigSting · 04/09/2020 07:25

I think it's the size, one is slightly smaller. Like linguine and tagliatelle.

There was still some coffee left over in my moka pot from yesterday so I didn't have to brew a whole new one for my first coffee which was a pleasant surprise.

Ds likes the bear. His name is Sam.

Peasbewithyou · 04/09/2020 07:36

I am making DD’s packed lunch with her new lunch box. It is jungle themed. (The box not the lunch, that’s egg sandwiches).
