Come and tell me your dull and unexciting news THE SEQUEL

This is the one where the news remains dull, and all the irons you bought in the last thread have developed limescale.

I had a slice of toast and now I feel a bit sick. It must be because I am low carbing. The toast was worth it though,it was slightly cold and hard so the butter went on the way it used to in a 1990s B&B.

I ordered a wheelbarrow. It came today.

I'm watching Bob Ross painting a beautiful mountain scene.

FeltCarrot · 29/08/2020 12:56

I went to Ikea and queued for 20 minutes to get in.

But sneakily avoided the showroom and went straight to the warehouse.

goingtosleep · 29/08/2020 13:18

I've washed the cat's bum

ElizabethMainwaring · 29/08/2020 13:27

@goingtosleep
How did it go?
Any special technique deployed?
The cat and I have recently had an unpleasant experience.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 29/08/2020 13:44

Have gathered up all the random unused cables from all around the house and dumped them in DH's home office. Hugely cathartic Grin

FawnDrench · 29/08/2020 13:45

DH has taken the dog out for a walk.

Some people are saying on Facebook that it's "not cricket weather" whatever that may mean.

I shall be having another cup of tea soon and I don't yet know which biscuit I shall choose to accompany my hot beverage.

MutteringDarkly · 29/08/2020 13:48

This may be too exciting (not in a good way) but I've just discovere a tube of tomato purée has exploded in the cupboard. Top shelf naturally, so it's harder to reach yet has maximum splatter range.

belle40 · 29/08/2020 14:04

We took our dog for a walk.

I remembered my raincoat.

It didn't rain.

It depends on what your plans are for dealing with the tomatoe catastrophe? If you plan to shut the door and just muse about cleaning it up then I think it's not too exciting for this thread.

So happy there's a second thread Smile

After a busy morning I'm now lying on the bed about to read my book & hopefully have a little snooze. I have no intention of doing anything else today that requires effort!

Mine occasionally needs a bum clean. The easiest way I've found is to wrap her tightly in a towel, use my leg to hold down the free edge and then roll it back to reach the bit I need.

CrunchyNutNC · 29/08/2020 14:27

I can't decide which vegetables to cook for dinner.

TokyoSushi · 29/08/2020 14:32

I've been searching for the perfect replica of a Ted Baker wrap coat (£339 😳) literally for about 3 years - I've just collected the perfect one from Next, mission complete.

Also I got a lovely phone case from Accessorize this morning for £2!

Deathraystare · 29/08/2020 14:36

I am sorry TokyoSushi - that is far too exciting for these posts. You may have to be asked to leave!

thistimelastweek · 29/08/2020 14:38

Can't finish my crossword.

newtb · 29/08/2020 14:42

Read the thread - well, most of it, waiting for an amazon delivery.

Am now knackered

lborgia · 29/08/2020 14:44

@lazysundayafternoons - why are you pdfing emails? Some sort of archive?

I know my asking implies that your email has perhaps peaked too much interest for this thread, but I'm genuinely intrigued.

Or have not worked for so long that I find all office minutiae riveting.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 29/08/2020 14:49

I pdfed all E-mails from school regarding my son (AS) - as a kind of developmental archive. Because I was forever asked for examples and evidence - came in very handy and saved lots of space (244 pdfs).
I then deleted the mails.

This is hopefully suitably unexciting for this thread!

BadlydoneHelen · 29/08/2020 14:51

My washing is on the line. I'm eating an apple

Polkasquare · 29/08/2020 14:54

But sneakily avoided the showroom and went straight to the warehouse.

That was clever.

I haved folded 2/3 of the washing.

No that is quite exciting! I didn't know you could do that and save space.
Stargirl84 · 29/08/2020 15:03

I am on my fifth day of being constipated. I am off to Boots now to get some laxatives...

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 29/08/2020 15:03

I didn't sleep a wink last night so am a bit spacey today. I watched the first two episodes of A Suitable Boy which I had saved on the Sky box at 6:30 this morning, and liked them. It's raining here so DH has brought the washing in.

Yeah we work in cycles with our clients so at the end of each cycle we pdf all the mails from that cycle into one combined pdf file and save them in the common drive.
Not only does it free up space in our inbox but also helps when someone leaves the company and you can see where they got x,y&z from in the prior cycle (or if you have a really bad memory like me and cant remember last week let alone a year ago)
