This is the one where the news remains dull, and all the irons you bought in the last thread have developed limescale.

I had a slice of toast and now I feel a bit sick. It must be because I am low carbing.The toast was worth it though,it was slightly cold and hard so the butter went on the way it used to in a 1990s B&B.

I ordered a wheelbarrow. It came today.

We have fire! DH has gone upstairs to fiddle with his gaming computer - he reclaimed his steering wheel from his dad today so he’s setting it up. I am roasting my toes and watching it like a hawk - it’s a new burner and this is the first burn so it’s a bit of a learning curve.

There was a downpour today and then there was another one....

I'm easily led

Had my ears pierced. One of them is in slightly the wrong place, which I think is my fault as she drew dots on me and I said they looked fine...

I am having a glass of wine, which I am sure I will slightly regret when I take DS to his footy match at 0900 tomorrow.

Stood in torrential rain for ten mins whilst waiting to pick up a prescription frI’m the chemist. Had tea and banana bread afterwards.

Had to family hamster put down yesterday. Riddled with cancer - but now at peace x

My feet are a bit chilly but I can't be bothered to find my slippers or put socks on.

The ticket machine at the beach took my £5 coins and gave no ticket today ☹️

Dh is working a shift at our Residents' Club so I can

a) eat all of the Lamb Rogan Josh leftovers
b) watch Killing 2 without him sighing heavily in the background.

Not exciting but a little bit of heaven.

We had to buy a new kettle. I told DH to wait until tomorrow because I'd seen some on special offer. But no, he rang me in a meeting with Breaking News...

... old kettle kaput, new one purchased.

I've put the heating on and im still cold but on the plus side I make a good bed for the cats both of them are lying on my chest. (I'm large of chest)

I've just deep cleaned the bathroom. I hate cleaning, and should be on holiday this week, but at least it's done

ha, us too. We are on a weeks holiday this week, but it is wet and cold and so we agreed to clean the house, this despite the fact that we had agreed not to clean while on holiday....This is why we usually go abroad....

I need the loo but my cat is sleeping on me so I can't move.

I've ordered a new filter for my tumble dryer.

I am a few pounds up on the bathroom scale, so yesterday I made soup and ate soup, today I will eat soup, tomorrow I will eat soup, I made so much soup, soup is my life now.

My washing machine is leaking but only when it goes on the tumble dryer setting.

I replaced the wax in our warmer today. DH got home and asked where the clean laundry was. It was the wax he was smelling instead.

DD's student finance need some additional info, they send me some forms.
DS is turning 18 this year. I have to fill out forms, so that our version of child benefit continues to be payed bc fulltime education.

I hate filling out forms - sometimes I manage to even get my name wrong.

I’ve finally sorted the school uniform. It’s a balance between having 5 of everything and committing to a midweek uniform wash. I never have got it quite right yet. I have been v chaotic this year so I think I’ll just see how it goes and buy more if I need it.

This is also marginally exciting but I took the dirty cushions off our dining room chairs last night and cleaned them with the steam mop. They looked dreadful yesterday but have dried out nicely and look much better.

DH came home from doing the food shop and bought himself some halva (the oily type). He's been enthusing about it for the last 20 minutes - apparently it tastes lovely.

I cleaned the bio bin.

I’m cold this morning so have had the fire on.

I’ve cleaned the detergent drawer from the washing machine instead of putting it off again

Just plugged in my new Alexa Echo speaker. It scared me shitless speaking in 4 different languages, full volume, informing me I'd not set it up. It's now set up.

I've finally cleaned the house. DD has tidied her room and done some times tables. For us, this is like The Waltons
