Any new Eufy Robovac parents out there?

A couple of weeks ago there was a flurry of recommendations for the Eufy RoboVac on a couple of threads.
Several posters declared they would be buying one. I was one of them.
I wondered how other new owners were getting on. We are delighted with ours.
To start with it did not seem like a time saver, but this was because we were so fascinated with its purposeful scurrying that we just sat and watched it.
Now it gets going via the app every morning at 6.30 and does three rooms plus many yards of hall carpet.
It is truly amazing how much it picks up. After four days on the same route it still fills up each time. It seems to be mainly picking up dust, but where does it keep coming from?
Just two complaints: the small pieces of adhesive paper supplied is not very sticky. You use those if you want to create a barrier. When you interrupt its routine to tell it to go back to its base it won’t go straight there but rather indignantly insists on going via the pretty route.

Otherwise great!
Anyone else?

Hi all!
Somebody mentioned the baggotte upthread, this is what I have and he's wonderful Smile I've had him just over a year, we've not had many issues, mainly just the vampire tendencies (so we do those rooms in the afternoon instead), he does like to chase the cat, and does have an unrequited love issue with the puzzle board that we keep under the sofa, he LOVES it Grin
All good apart from that, I'd really recommend it Smile

@TrickyD

As cautiouscovidity mentioned up thread, Amazon have the 30C for £189.99 if you apply the £40 voucher, until tomorrow.
Eufy website has now price matched Amazon on the 30C (with a voucher) so it's the same price from them direct too.
Decentsalnotime · 22/08/2020 12:15

I paid £199 for my 15c max in an amazon lightening deal
No sure if 30 or 15 better

mosscarpet · 22/08/2020 12:32

oh...I am a total convert. I love him. He is actually going to be life changing! He did all the floors, upstairs and down today whilst I did the other cleaning jobs, then I just came along and mopped and its all done. Saved me so much time on my usual saturday morning clean. Grin

TimeTruthandHearts · 22/08/2020 12:36

So we've had ours two weeks now, and she's still picking up bloody shedloads every day.

Wouldn't mind, but we've only had the upstairs carpets for three weeks! It's a wonder we could even see the downstairs floors at all Shock Blush

Champagneforeveryone · 22/08/2020 14:50

For maximum horror, may I suggest you empty his little bin and filters then set him loose on your stripped mattress.

I have to tell you on here because DH and I were so revolted by what he picked up, we have resolved never to speak of it again Envy

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 22/08/2020 14:55

Mine (now to be known as Daisy the kitchen maid) has arrived and gotten stuck in.

The amount of hair and dust she has cleared is shocking.

The good news is DDog is fine although not ecstatic. We did put a biscuit on top of her as she whizzed round so DDog would associate her with treats.

DH just came in to ask if he could bring the kitchen maid upstairs...sounds much saucier than it is Grin

OMG!! I love Rupert Bam Bam! (Named by my 2 year old)
He’s done all down stories and done a wonderful job (hard floors) very thorough and seemed pretty methodical. There were no vampire tendencies even though there was a big patch of sunlight on the floor.
He’s just done my sons room. I had a new carpet in there in February. My Miele vacuum has always struggled a bit on the carpet by Rupert had nailed it! I was hottie that what came out of a 6 month only carpet, that barely walked on and been vacuumed at least weekly!

@imayhavelostmymarbles

BEE FARSEER I have just been on amazon to find giant googly eyes! Ours is Bertie and he has been flying blind!
@imayhavelostmymarbles YESSSSS, you have gifted him with sight! Grin
Decentsalnotime · 22/08/2020 18:23

Also hugely impressed

No name given but just a very good product that I’m pleased I purchased

mommybear1 · 23/08/2020 15:53

Totally convinced by this thread my Eufy (name to be decided) is arriving in about an hour I cannot wait to meet them!

WhispersOfWickedness · 23/08/2020 22:02

Totally forgot to say, ours is called Hector (as in Hector the Hoover, we already have a Henry) Grin

30C is £169 on amazon

DobbyTheHouseElk · 24/08/2020 10:36

I’m finding that having Eufy has really helped to keep the house cleaner and tidier. Because I’m not spending time vacuuming, I’m getting the house less cluttered and I’m dusting more Blush I had no idea how dirty the house was. I’m blaming lockdown and everyone being at home for months.

TrickyD · 24/08/2020 10:45

Dobby I am still puzzled by how he manages to pick up so much stuff every day, even after 11days work. Can he be gradually shaving the carpet? The junk in his tray looks dirt coloured not carpet coloured though.

I don’t understand the reports that say he is poor on carpet cleaning. If he was much more diligent we would walking on floor boards.

A Eufy that dusted the furniture would be a blessing.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 24/08/2020 15:23

It amazes me too. There is a lot of skin/dust and car hair among his haul. I’ve come to the conclusion that he is far better at vacuuming than me! I only vacuumed what was obvious and in reach. Where as he goes everywhere equally.

He’s a little gem.

Glitterbiscuits · 24/08/2020 15:58

Oh bugger! I've ordered one.

We are all hooked and convinced it will change our lives. I'm sure this is some sort of MLM.

Meanwhile I have spent so long looking at my floors I'm convinced I need a new carpet too.

Lurkingforawhile · 24/08/2020 18:31

I've been lurking for a while on this thread and have just ordered mine, for £170 from amazon. He's arriving Wednesday! Very excited, and I did also let my cleaner know so she knows she's not being replaced! I have dark red carpets on the stairs and landing that stay free of cat hair for about ten minutes. I know I'll have to do the stairs but at least the landing will be clean.

LivingMyBestLife2020 · 24/08/2020 20:26

Rupert Bam Bam, or Roo Roo is my absolute saviour. Like others have said, my house is tidier and less cluttered as I let Roo loose at least once a day so I keep things clear. I’ve also told my toddler that if he doesn’t put his toys away, Roo will eat them 🤣😂. He picks up so much dirt! I’ve got my sons cot dismantled under my bed. I’ve sold it so it’s going tomorrow and I’m sending Roo under. Hope he’s hungry!

whiskyremorse · 24/08/2020 20:37

I am a new owner and impressed so far. My only problem is that we have flat washable mats on the hard floors and he gets stuck on them. What do people with hard floors and dogs/messy husbands use for mats/runners? Ours are from Dunelm so perhaps I need to invest in some better ones?

DobbyTheHouseElk · 24/08/2020 21:14

Spent a happy 10 minutes cleaning his brushes and emptying his tummy. It’s so satisfying. Such a clever tool with a blade to cut the haor that’s wrapped around his brush. He’s all clean and tidy and having a snooze now. Bless.
