Any new Eufy Robovac parents out there?

A couple of weeks ago there was a flurry of recommendations for the Eufy RoboVac on a couple of threads.
Several posters declared they would be buying one. I was one of them.
I wondered how other new owners were getting on. We are delighted with ours.
To start with it did not seem like a time saver, but this was because we were so fascinated with its purposeful scurrying that we just sat and watched it.
Now it gets going via the app every morning at 6.30 and does three rooms plus many yards of hall carpet.
It is truly amazing how much it picks up. After four days on the same route it still fills up each time. It seems to be mainly picking up dust, but where does it keep coming from?
Just two complaints: the small pieces of adhesive paper supplied is not very sticky. You use those if you want to create a barrier. When you interrupt its routine to tell it to go back to its base it won’t go straight there but rather indignantly insists on going via the pretty route.

Otherwise great!
Anyone else?

I've ordered one. This is all your fault

I have been a eufy parent for a few years now. I’m sad to announce that eufy has passed away. RIP eufy xxx

Thanks @DobbyTheHouseElk, think I’ll take the plunge!

My condolences Daffodil

Guffy has charged up and whizzed around the lounge much to the annoyance of the dog. I've put him to bed and will look at expanding his horizons tomorrow.

DD has been trawling Amazon for googling eyes and/or eyelashes 🙀
@nessnessness Brian lives under the sofa in our house.
Guffy has found his place next to the sofa, tucked in by a bookcase. He doesn't seem to mind the squeeze, just backed up a few times before slotting back home.

Ritasueandbobtoo9, sorry to hear this sad news.

Was it old age or something specific that caused him finally to still his rotating whiskers?

oh I did it! I gave in and bought the 30c max on offer at amazon. He came last night and has been charged overnight and is now playing in the dinding room. He is having some issues with the dining room chairs, and has done the same corner about 500 times, but Im sure he'll get there!! I am sooo excited!!

TheTempest · 21/08/2020 09:24

I really really want one! I have 3 dogs though, one of which hates the hoover and tries to attack it. But she’s almost blind, deaf and barely any teeth left (she’s 15). Do you reckon Eufy will survive?!

cautiouscovidity · 21/08/2020 09:40

I'm tempted to join the Eufy parenting club. The 30C is on offer on Amazon today for £189.99. Is this a good deal or should I hold out for a better offer?

TrickyD · 21/08/2020 09:49

CautiousCovidity, that is a typical price. You might save a few pounds if you hang on for an Amazon lightning deal, but you could be waiting for ages. Just check the price on the Eufy site today to be on the safe side.

Cautious, are you are that is the Amazon price for the 30C and not the the 11S? I have just had a look and can’t see it for the price you mentioned.

Sexnotgender · 21/08/2020 10:04

The 30C Max is £209 on amazon.

TrickyD · 21/08/2020 10:08

Go for that Cautious!

I'm loving my Jeff!!! He's plodding around our bedroom while I work.

If you have carpets, the 30c Max is a must apparently! I got it at £209. He's worth every penny so far.

Yep. If you click into the product, there's a £40 voucher you can apply at checkout which takes it down to £189.99
TrickyD · 21/08/2020 10:18

That’s excellent, get it!

I've been persuaded by this thread (tbh I didn't need too much persuasion!) and mine should arrive tomorrow

If it even just picks up the random bits of cat litter and fur from my furry cat, that will be brilliant

I plan to let him (her?!) get to work while I WFH (as the cats will be outside and not freaking out about the new house pet!)

nessnessness · 21/08/2020 12:07

Guffy has completed his first shift this morning. He took a fancy to the tall fan in my office and kept trying to mount it, Miss Bionaire was having none of it.

He did do the hall a number of times, which now looks fab but decided the lounge was not in his schedule today. He popped in there once or twice but after a cursory spin, returned to the other rooms. Anyway, he did a full 2hr shift and brought himself home to rest and recharge.

I have not looked at what treasure he has sucked up yet. I'll let him doze.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 21/08/2020 13:29

One doesn’t like the living room. He goes in and out sharpish.

He loves an armchair in the office, he spends a lot of time under it and zooming in and out. To be fair, I didn’t clean under it so he’s probably right.

LivingMyBestLife2020 · 21/08/2020 13:49

Mine has arrived!

One of our DDogs has a special lifty up food bowl which arrived with a natty little mat to put underneath. I have just binned it as The Dogs of War insisted on grazing contentedly over it so often.
AtLeastThreeDrinks · 21/08/2020 17:31

Is £209 a good price for the 30C Max or am I likely to get it cheaper if I hold out? I'd prefer the number to start with a 1 Grin
