I work with very super rich and they all do all they can not to ever be starred at. The current CEO of the biggest on line retailer in the UK for example drives a battered old estate car and literally no one knows what he does for a job in his local community.
In my experience those who display wealth often have less than they pretend and vice versa.

I know, I have exactly the same problem when I'm sitting on the deck of my multi-million pound yacht. I just put it down to jealousy, and stare back, although of course my gaze is hidden from behind my £1500 sunglasses, so maybe they don't realise.

Well, I think it would be fascinating, myself!

I know I look at the drivers and occupants of posh cars sweeping up to the (electric) gates of posh houses and wonder about them, where the cash came from, if they're happy! Ditto the mega yachts around the Solent (or off Marbella!).

I find the lives of the properly well off to be interesting.

My ex used to buy really expensive cars ( with money he had conned off people including me but that's another story)
I used to wonder why all these guys were looking at me , feeling quite pleased with myself. It dawned on me they were looking at the car , but every time I used to forget!
They would stare at ' me' at traffic lights, petrol stations etc
