When they see you on the balcony and when they see you drive in and out the gates

Wish I was a multi millionaire too !!

My best friend has been cleaning multi million pound houses for over 20 years.

I must ask her if she gets stared at, driving in and out of the gates every day.

I must admit she's never mentioned it.

DishingOutDone · 08/08/2020 13:23

@WorraLiberty maybe she could start a thread about it.

derxa · 08/08/2020 13:25

Hilarious thread

TableFlowerss · 08/08/2020 13:26

Agree with the poster that said most people will live in similar properties so won’t care.

I’ve never seen a million pound property with gates and a balcony in the middle of a council estate...

Unless you’re in London and there are tourists wandering around and end up in a multi million pound street....

I got lost on my way back from hotel and ended up in ‘the Bolton’s’. My jaw was dropping at the opulence if these beautiful homes and I think I’d have stared if I seen anyone driving in/out Grin

I'd hate that!
Doggodogington · 08/08/2020 13:27

I have a really loud motorbike, my neighbours must love it as they stare at me all the time. I can imagine it’s the same as that.

Jargo · 08/08/2020 13:29

Yes, yes, if they are very wealthy, then all those around them will be in similar properties.

The neighbours are only checking you are not burglars and looking out for your friends and their property.

Really not something to boast about.

goingtotown · 08/08/2020 13:30

Why would you be driving in & out of the gates, if you’re there for the weekend? Gotcha.

Thecobwebsarewinning · 08/08/2020 13:30

Perhaps they are casing the joint? It’s a well known fact that poor people are insanely jealous of people who live in mansions, particularly mansions with balconies, and will stop at nothing to get even with them.

Aguarai · 08/08/2020 13:30

I used to work for a rich family in a big house. I genuinely don't think I ever got stared at, it was in a rich area so not out of the norm, and the other people around the area were either friends/owners or people like me working or delivering so don't think it took anyone by surprise.

diamente · 08/08/2020 13:31

If the house is that expensive (and not in London where they're common) who is able to be that close to see you on the balcony Confused

its the balconies what push 'em over the edge.

Bloodybridget · 08/08/2020 13:32

You are a mean lot! Is today International Squash a Poster Day?

MikeUniformMike · 08/08/2020 13:34

I had leftovers for lunch. Tasted a bit funny.

coconuttyhead · 08/08/2020 13:35

I’m seriously craving doritos now.

EggBoxes · 08/08/2020 13:36

I am wondering how many people are stood around watching the gates or balcony.

This morning I cut the lawn.

DopamineHits · 08/08/2020 13:37

Oof, this thread is practically glowing green Grin

Enjoy your weekend OP Wink

EggBoxes · 08/08/2020 13:38

Confused I'm not convinced that people are envious of OP's rock & roll life.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 08/08/2020 13:40

Found the nasty pasties here today! Have a nice weekend op.

VividImagination · 08/08/2020 13:40

I had ice cream for dinner last night but I ate under cover of darkness so no one could stare at me. Disclaimer - I don’t like Doritos.

HeyBlaby · 08/08/2020 13:43

I find this only happens when my yatch is parked outside, even then only if the helicopter is also present tbh.

The claws are out today aren't they?! I am guessing by the catty remarks you have received that perhaps people stare because they're envious. I'd probably take a look as well to be honest in case it's someone famous. We have a road of posh houses around the £6million mark near us and I do often wonder at who can afford such a thing so if I see them outside I do generally have a good look. No idea why as looking at them tells me nothing. Grin

StatementKnickers · 08/08/2020 13:46

I don't understand this post. Surely anyone close enough to stare is going to be either living or working in a neighbouring property? Maybe they think you're squatters?

Would make more sense if you've also borrowed the keys to your rich friend's Maserati and are roaring around in it Grin

IShaggedAMarriedMan · 08/08/2020 13:47

@Lardlizard, did you just wave at me? I'm on the balcony opposite, the one with the blue Lamborghini outside.
