An 80g serving of fresh fruit or veg and a 30g serving of dried fruit counts as one of your 5 a day.

Spinach (half portion)
Tomato and Bean soup (1 portion)
1 quarter cantaloupe melon (1 portion)
Carrots (half portion)
Hummus (quarter portion)
Celery (quarter portion)
Cauliflower (one portion)
Brussels sprouts (one portion)

That's 5 and a half portions and I don’t think I can fit any more in. I’m trying to get to 7 portions per day.

breakfast a smoothie made of a peach, an easy peeler, raspberries, a strawberry high protein yogurt.

Lunch, stilton cheese salad, mixed leaves, mini pepper, cucumber, spring onion, normal onion, 5 mini tomatoes (different colours)

Dinner , fish in a tomatoey sauce, a lot of courgette the and mushrooms.

P0lka · 28/07/2020 18:51

280g total of - baby carrots, green beans, sugar snap pea and tenderstem broccoli

RachelLyg · 28/07/2020 18:52

We're having wine with dinner, I think that counts, no?

I’d be very happy if wine counted. Along with cider, sangria, pimms. Even G&T usually has a bit of lime in Smile.

I'm how about blending veg for a sauce or soup.
I find I can eat a lot more veg if it's baked in the oven, for example a baking tray of peppers, courgette, onions etc cooks up quite small and I don't it's tastier than boiled veg.

RachelLyg · 28/07/2020 18:54

I’m not sure about olives, although I’d be really happy about that too. Love them but try not to eat too many due to the fat.

Potatoes don’t count.

You can count pulses as 1 serving per day, in total. So if you have beans for lunch and hummus for dinner it’s still only 1 serving, no matter how much you eat.

@Othering no veg or fruit for over a week?! How come?

I do eat fruit and veg every day, but probably not enough. Today I have only had half a punnet of raspberries and a few slices of tomato and cucumber. Tonight I will have half a cauliflower and some
Salad.

vampirethriller · 28/07/2020 19:04

Tomatoes and courgettes at lunch.
Beans and gooseberries at dinner.

Alienin · 28/07/2020 20:22

See, whoever decided that potatoes don’t count needs a good slap. They are an excellent source of vitamin C and potassium.

Ginfizplease · 28/07/2020 20:24

An apple
Carrot, mushroom, onion in a casserole.
Fruit smoothie.

Think that's it.

CostaLotta · 28/07/2020 20:33

Grapes, strawberries, raspberries, dried cranberries, carrot, baby tomatoes, red and yellow peppers, spinach, rocket and watercress. The salad leaves probably add up to 1 and the cranberries 0.5, so 7.5 I think. I didn't have lunch today or it may have been a couple more.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 28/07/2020 20:35

B- Apple
L - salad leaves, julienned carrot, roasted cherry tomatoes, sauteed garlic mushrooms, poached egg
afternoon - apple
D - chicken tacos, with home made tomato and pepper salsa, guacamole, lettuce, refried beans
Now - grapes, lots of cheese.
5-6 portions maybe?

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 28/07/2020 20:36

3 nectarines
A tomato and avocado salad (about half an avocado and 4 medium tomatoes)
Some peas (but not many, they were mixed with rice with dinner).

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 28/07/2020 20:37

Oh, and a handful of grapes. Probably five portions, more or less.

HeyMicky · 28/07/2020 20:38

Raspberries at breakfast
Red cabbage, carrots, peas, green beans at lunch
Dinner out so wasn't at good as usual - olives, avocado in my starter, and tomato and lettuce in my burger. Sweet potato fries but I don't think I can count that, nor the fruit in my Pimms Wink

A bit low for me but I don't eat between meals so harder to get everything in. Dinner at home would normally have around 4 serves of veg

Floralnomad · 28/07/2020 20:38

A nectarine

Will have a grapefruit later

whiteroseredrose · 28/07/2020 20:40

Breakfast - strawberries and a nectarine
