A few random observations...I went on my usual weekly shop on friday to Aldi and Tesco, and both were very quiet, in fact virtually empty. Apparently it had been crazy busy on Thursday, so people were presumably doing a big shop before masks became compulsory. Great for me because I hate crowded shops at any time, but if the footfall everywhere is reduced by mask wearing, how long do you think it will be mandatory for? What if major retailers complain that their business is being damaged?
I have made a few masks. One has a skull pattern. However, I have just ordered some material that says 'fuck' all over it, which I thought would adequately express my opinion.
I also thought about making a yashmak, after all, it would cover my nose and mouth. You can tell I don't take this very seriously. We have enjoyed returning to our local pub for a pint or so (and another local pub for a meal).
Re Spain and its increase in cases. If people are getting Covid 19 but not dying and recovering well, then surely that makes it no more dangerous than any other bug doing the rounds. I don't know why the English are being blamed by some posters, it seems to me nightclubs heaving with (spanish) people might be a good way to spread it. The BBC quoted someone as saying that '99% of the English don't abide by the rules' (it was on the main online news page). What utter bollocks.
