[quote ineedaholidaynow]This is the Government guidance for masks, it says that shops are encouraged to take reasonable steps to promote compliance with the law and can refuse entry if someone does not have a valid exemption.

It also says that a person does not have to have written proof that they have an exemption
Some people may feel more comfortable showing something that says they do not have to wear a face covering. This could be in the form of an exemption card, badge or even a home-made sign.
This is a personal choice and is not necessary in law.
Those who have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering should not be routinely asked to give any written evidence of this. Written evidence includes exemption cards.
So shops can refuse entry to someone who says they don't want to wear a mask but if they SAY they have an exemption the shop should accept this.
This thread is for support, discussion, chatting (and moaning) not for berating people for not doing as you think they should. If that's what you want to do - please go and do your arguing on the thousands of mask threads.
