If you were at school in the 1970s, what were some of your classmates names. I think they will be the next names to make a comeback.

I wasn’t a child of the 70’s but I’m going to go with Donna, Malcolm, Gwen and Gordon

TorchesTorches · 22/07/2020 20:14

At school in the 70s is quite a broad set of years! Of your list of names, there was just one Sharon and 1 Jackie for me (primary in mid 70s) There were lots and lots of:

Karen
Helen
Catherine/Kate/ Katie
Sarah
Claire

Those names would cover nearly half the girls in the class

netflixismysidehustle · 22/07/2020 20:14

Paula, Nicola, Laura, Lisa, Carly sort of names?

Not sure about boys' names. Most of the ones from this era are just too uncool - Brian, Kenneth, Ian etc - or never unpopular - Daniel, William, Thomas etc.. Maybe...
