If you were at school in the 1970s, what were some of your classmates names. I think they will be the next names to make a comeback.

I'm amazed that some of you seem to remember the entire class.

Are you looking at your school photographs, none of you have ever left your village, or have I just got a really bad memory?

I’m an 80s child, but DP says: Giles, Steven, Daryl, Christopher, Carey and Nicholas.

I’m not convinced....

StrawberryScentedThings · 22/07/2020 21:12

I have been saying for a while that Jackie will be back!

They used to read out the Register at the start of morning class. I bet a good number of us can still remember not just the full names of the class, but also the alphabetical (by surname) order in which they came!
LivingInTheBackOfBeyond · 22/07/2020 21:25

Claire, Sarah, Emma

Mark, Stephen, Gary

I was nearly a Claire, born in the early 70s, but my mum walked around the maternity ward and realised that nearly every girl was called that, so instead I got a less common name but one that still screams 1970s. Apparently, there was a popular song in the early 1970s that contained the name Claire, which was why it suddenly appeared almost from nowhere.
