My neighbours are having a bbq. It smells delicious. My trainers are on. I'm going for a run and finishing at the Co-op. #functionalfitness Wink

BogRollBOGOF · 02/08/2020 19:31

Did the run. I've decided to do C25k runs to build back up. Not the whole 9 week thing, but each run in sequence as it's just been too sore/ tight to run properly for 2 months.

I did a half marathon on 23rd Feb. Thanks lockdown.

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 03/08/2020 10:09

Bollocks. One and a half pound back on. Angry

ButterMeCrumpets · 03/08/2020 10:10

I have been losing and gaining the same kg for ages. Got to kick start it somehow.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 03/08/2020 14:04

I should have weighed myself this morning but was too scared after my sybaritic weekend, so I'll do it tomorrow! Today is a reasonable day, I've booked to work and aim for a booze free day of reasonably healthy eating.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 03/08/2020 14:06

Biked, not booked, dammit! This phone's autocorrect is a perpetual mystery to me.

chocolatesweets · 03/08/2020 18:36

I've lost the ADs again 🙈 where's the new thread please? Thanks

PinkFondantFancy · 03/08/2020 21:12

Argh I gained a kg back!! HOW?! This is ridiculous.

C25k commenced... nice to feel that I've accomplished something Grin

I went on the scales this morining... in good news that spare gained bit should now bugger off of it's own accord as my body/ hormones have now passed peak hoarding phase of the month...

One month until the DCs get back to school and it gets a bit easier to sort my diet out rather than life revolving around feeding ravenous whippet children Grin

I need to get fitter so I can cope with 10 school runs per week Grin

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 04/08/2020 07:40

Well, at least I haven’t gained anything, which is a relief. But I haven’t lost any either. So bored with this!

ButterMeCrumpets · 04/08/2020 07:52

DH said my boobs were not popping out of my bra as much this morning so maybe I have toned up a bit round the chest Grin.

I have worked out I need to lose 5kg in total.

Set a goal of 0.4kg per week which means I hope to hit it end of October/beginning of November.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 04/08/2020 23:31

Thank god I am not the only one who is struggling to get it off. What is it.

I am just not moving about as much now I am working at home all week and the fridge is close by 😭

Hello fellow flabsters, I’m giving up alcohol, I’m not a huge drinker but its wasted calories I could be eating, plus hopefully sleep better.
Menopause, its a bugger

I am drinking becks blue to cut down the calories. Not the same but getting used to the taste. Cannot find any decent wine alternatives so that's out the window.

And yes I too am in peri menopause which just makes it a million times harder.

It sucks SadAngry

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 05/08/2020 07:59

I probably ought to give up alcohol, but a glass of wine when DD is in bed is one of the few pleasures of normal life still left to me Sad.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 05/08/2020 17:18

Butter you might be onto something with the peri menopause. I'm 40 so I am going to grab on to that and place all the blame squarely at its feet.

BogRollBOGOF · 05/08/2020 17:22

Good news, I stayed static on the scales through July and have lost half an inch here and there Grin

Well done. Going the right direction.

I watched a season of Alone Arctic over the weekend. A wild bank holiday weekend here 🙄 Was thinking if I was put on an island where I had to catch or forage for my own food I'd be dropping weight like nobodies business.

Rumblebear · 06/08/2020 17:02

Ooh can I join? I've just weighed myself....after buying some stuff from monsoon in my normal size and looking ..well...rather like a barrel in them. I used to have a waistline!

I'm 10st, 5f3 and quite small boned. I've put on a half a stone in lockdown and I had about 11 to lose anyway to get back to my ideal weight. But, I'll settle for the stone to get back to 9!

My main issue is wine (yum!) And then all the little treats that seem like a good idea once wine has been had...

Planning on getting portion sizes under control, stopping the wine and drinking more water etc. Trying to excercise but have 2 small children and work full time so it's hard to carve out some time. Before I had my first I was a regular at the gym and nearly 2 stone lighter than now so I think it's going to be hard through diet alone...can anyone recommend any good quick online workouts? I love Adrienne but I'm guessing it doesn't burn many calories.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 07/08/2020 09:55

@ButterMeCrumpets, I may also be perimenopausal. I'm in my mid forties and definitely finding it harder to lose weight than I used to.

Yesterday was very mixed, I biked to work and back (good) but went out for dinner with two old friends and ate my body weight in tapas (significantly less good!). And I have a week's leave next week and want to enjoy some lovely food.

PinkFondantFancy · 07/08/2020 11:02

@Rumblebear welcome! Maybe switching to wine spritzer might be a good halfway house? I like doing Fitness Marshall dances on YouTube, they're fun and he makes me laugh!

Also hi @Thesuzle and anyone else I've missed! I defo think alcohol is an issue for weight but it's so so hard to give up. I just have it a couple of nights a week now but can't see myself binning it off altogether

Rumblebear · 07/08/2020 11:58

Thanks @PinkFondantFancy! Wine spritzers a good idea- I prob need a few weeks off just to get out of the habit and then slowly introduce a couple of drinks on a sat or sun. I'll try those videos too!

Not a bad start to the day-i find it easier when it's so hot as I don't fancy massive portions! Has anyone elses partners done the opposite in lockdown and lost weight? I discovered yesterday that DHs waist is an inch smaller than mine now! And when we married I was practically half his weight (he's lost his muscle bulk and Ive chubbed up!)
