Tell me more about the mister motivator one please. He did a workout session at a music festival I was at last summer (you know when you could have fun) and it was easy to follow even with a drink in each hand. Work off the beer as your drink it.

ButterMeCrumpets · 28/07/2020 06:08

I found some weight videos on amazon prime yesterday. Tried one for 20 mins and I could hardly do any of the exercises even with the lightest hand weights Blush.

ButterMeCrumpets · 28/07/2020 07:37

Talking of which I have just done 15 mins HIT and 15mins stomach weight video. I am dripping in sweat. Time for a shower.

I prefer exercising first thing as then it is done as I do find it a chore but feel better having done it.

mightbealittlebitmad · 28/07/2020 07:56

How is everyone getting on? I've lost a kilo since I first weighed myself, only another 5 to go...

Trying to keep my exercise levels up, I'm taking the kids walking whenever I get the opportunity, walking the half a mile to work then back again every weekday when it's not a late finish and going to the gym sporadically. Difficult to get chance for the gym when I have the kids all day and work in the evenings but anything is better than nothing.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 28/07/2020 08:53

I also prefer exercising first thing. DD and I have just done a Jillian Michaels DVD, and yesterday although I didn't do any exercise as such, I did a lot of walking.

He regularly posts "daily dozen" 12 minute exercises on youtube. They're aimed at older people, but most of them are good work and can either be done cold or make a good warm up for something more intense after.

I like old school aerobics. There's not enough of it around on youtube. My body can struggle with HITT and finds the likes of Joe Wicks a bit abrupt.

BogRollBOGOF · 28/07/2020 23:16

Has a great evening. Came to the end of my run of fitness classes which will resume in September. Still hot from an hour of exercise, we trouped off down to the river for a swim, and it was so blissful. Not the warmest for water or air temperature, but being warmed up and exercised helped. We swam downstream for about 15 mins Grin

I have a bit of a drive home compared to the others so after changing, turned the blowers up in the car. By the time I got to the chippie parts like my hands had warmed up, but other parts were still cold, so I ran a lap of a green to pump the blood and muscles warm again and got my chips- with some salad as a nod to nutrition Wink

We felt so ecstatic after the swim though. Fabulous feeling. Years ago, when we had a run of decent summers, my friends and I would often take the opportunity for a mid-hike dip in a river, lake or tarn to wash the sweat off. It's one of those things I really missed after having DCs Grin

Can I join? What's AD?

Off on hols this weekend and slightly shitting myself that I'll come back even fatter...

One and a bit stone to lose ideally 2.

PinkFondantFancy · 29/07/2020 07:59

@formyboys welcome! Aaaah enjoy your holiday, worry about the weight afterwards :)

Mr motivator?! I can't believe he's still around doing his thing!

I have been trying to ride my bike rather than take the car where I can around town while the traffic is light. Tried out a fitness bootcamp class last night and it was great! Haven't tried to walk yet though.....

Weekly weigh in for me, 0.5kg down! Whoop! Means I've turned the tide at least

Not a great day here.
Granola and yog
Quiche
Doughnut
Banana sandwich.

Jesus!

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 29/07/2020 17:42

Apart from the doughnut that doesn’t sound bad, @formyboys! Unless you’re not telling us that it was a bucket of granola and the whole quiche.

Today’s been OK (dentist, so sore mouth and not wanting to eat much). I biked to the office and back, and had a Pret salad for lunch, which felt quite luxurious after months of my own cooking. And yesterday was booze free. I’m hoping today will be too but DD is driving me to drink.

RiverCrossing · 29/07/2020 18:49

I am glad I’ve found this! My weight has been creeping up and I’ve gained 3 stone this year. Lockdown added a bit and then a couple of months ago I got my ass in gear. Lost 1 stone 10 in 6 weeks, very pleased! Then this week has been a total write off. About to have a final pizza and do a sensible calorie counted meal plan for the week ahead!

NowYouListenToMeFella · 29/07/2020 18:50

Evening all. Swishes onto thread with first post lockdown hairdo. Going training at 7 so I'll have had one and a bit hours of nice hair.

Well done to everyone on weight loss and exercise regimes. We are getting into the swing of it.

Put the bad day behind you and back on the horse tomo. It really doesn't sound that bad though. Don't beat yourself up.

formyboys · 29/07/2020 19:42

@ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson jealous of the Pret salad! None of that where I live..

@RiverCrossing well done. I am a bit like that. Very much need to make the decision and then I'm on it. It's the lack of energy I'm struggling with which makes me put crap in my mouth. I guess the doughnut was the thing I shouldn't have had and am starving now and trying not to eat until tomorrow...

BogRollBOGOF · 31/07/2020 12:41

Yesterday's exercise was lying around for an hour being beaten up by the osteopath. I can honestly say that by the time I spent the afternoon moping on the sofa, I've had an easier time after running half marathons Grin

Today, still recovering, plus it's hot. Having a quiet day with DS1 while DS2 does a sports camp and we're dipping in and out catching pokemon.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 01/08/2020 15:58

Hmmm. The last couple of days are not going to win me any prizes for discipline. Out for lunch today, pasta and a cocktail. Last night we had a barbecue with many nice things to eat and I drank half a bottle of rosé. On the plus side we walked to lunch and back today, and I did my Jillian Michaels DVD this morning. (Yesterday was an epic fail on the exercise front, but it was so hot I feel that should be excused.)

PinkFondantFancy · 01/08/2020 19:11

Curry, wine, cake here today Blush I'll get back on it again tomorrow, honest!

McDonald's and chocolate today Blush.

Tomorrow is another day Grin

Dowser · 01/08/2020 23:18

I’m in girls
Those size 40dd bras which were just for a bit of extra comfort till the weight came off have now become a fixture in my wardrobe..especially as I’ve bought another 3 in the same size

This is so not on
Thing is m I’ve always had a waist ..I don’t have much of a one now

I don’t weigh myself. I worked out it’s never been helpful in my weight loss.
If I lose weight , I’ll eat treats to reward myself and if I don’t lose weight..it’s the oh bugger it syndrome, I’ll just have this.

So, smaller portions it is then

Dowser · 01/08/2020 23:20

Oh and we’ve just ordered a soup maker before amazon prime runs out tomorrow night.

I’m eating less muesli in the morning..after this week will be ditching the carb laden rice cake with banana lunch for soup and then evening meal

Dowser · 01/08/2020 23:25

@BogRollBOGOF
Thanks for the mr motivator tip
I shall look him up tomorrow
I remember him from this morning ..I think

Dowser · 01/08/2020 23:26

Although at the moment
12 minutes feel like 11 minutes too long

ButterMeCrumpets · 02/08/2020 07:24

Oh dear, weigh day today and it's not good. Need to get back on track Sad.

The exercise for toning is going well but the eating portion sizes and snacks are creeping up.

PinkFondantFancy · 02/08/2020 07:39

"12 mins feels like 11 mins too long" Grin that is my view of any kind of exercise too!!

NowYouListenToMeFella · 02/08/2020 11:02

Morning. Lots of beer drank Friday then I lashed into an espresso martini or two and a gin. No weight loss this week despite staying on track food wise. Weighed Friday morning. I doubt I'll be up after Friday kicks in.

I have pulled something in my mic so cancelled my classes over the weekend. I laced between the couch and bed all day yesterday 😂

I am going to talk to my trainer this week and say I am not weighing myself anymore and am going to cut cals by 10%. I have 7 weeks of my package left and I need to cop on.

On holidays next week. Well, I am off work so will need to be very disciplined and plan.
