Just been browsing rightmove, looks innocuous from the outside.

lol as my mum always says, imagine dusting all of that 😂 what’s with the cars in the bubbles?!

hadenoughbleach · 18/07/2020 13:03

They really must like animals!

switswoo81 · 18/07/2020 13:05

Reminds me of my trip to Graceland.
Was lovely before.
All that money spent and no taste.

Tombero · 18/07/2020 13:06

Thankyou OP, that was a joy to view 😃

Standrewsschool · 18/07/2020 13:11

I wondered who it was at the end of the path also.

There’s a lot of pictures of political people on the walls.

It’s certainly a house that keeps on giving.

ShineyMcShine · 18/07/2020 13:14

I quite like it.

Comes furnished right?

MatildaTheCat · 18/07/2020 13:14

Perhaps the owner has snapped up one of the bankrupt zoos in order to make his menagerie feel more at home. Grin

boble1 · 18/07/2020 13:17

It's like the whole cast of Jumanji in one house 🦒 🦓

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 18/07/2020 13:25

Why is the kitchen so small?!

Maybe it's just for show.

Maybe it's just far away.

Alexindiamondarmour · 18/07/2020 13:26

It reminds me of the episode of Friends where Joey moves out and fills his apartment with horrible crap because he can afford it now. He also says “they were an impulse buy, right near the register!”
Maybe the hairy light fittings were right near the register??

DianasLasso · 18/07/2020 13:27

Oh wow!

That is precisely how I imagine Lady Metroland's appartment to be decorated in Evelyn Waugh's Scoop. It would make a brilliant movie set.

Fanthorpe · 18/07/2020 13:31

After a little snoop the owner is connected with the film industry, not famous though.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 18/07/2020 13:33

Shame - I was hoping someone could find a photo of whoever was responsible for THAT

babychange12 · 18/07/2020 13:35

Sold for 3.25m in 2015 Shock

willselfdestructin10seconds · 18/07/2020 13:35

Gypsy wedding on acid stylee!

justasking111 · 18/07/2020 13:37

So many houses around Cheshire like this, footballers, it is funny when you as a valuer have to go round them.

FrenchFancie · 18/07/2020 13:37

Wow, that’s the house that taste forgot.

I assume the animals are fake though? It would be illegal to import so of them. It’s someone famous I’ll bet, into racing and bikes.

I kept looking for giveaway details on video tour, but no joy. Thing is, for that price you’re not getting any nice views, just a wall....

FlamingoAndJohn · 18/07/2020 13:38

@Roussette

It's revolting!

And why in the name of all that is holy would you not update the kitchen, when you own a multi million pound pile like that?!
My kitchen's nicer than that one!

Horrible animal thing going on

I thought that too. I don’t like the decor but they have clearly spent a lot of time and money on it, so why stay with a kitchen like that? It doesn’t go. I’m guessing they don’t cook much.
viques · 18/07/2020 13:38

@TroysMammy

Some of the pictures remind me of the Natural History Museum.
You are right, they clearly got inspired by the Natural History Museum at Tring which is full of stuffed animals from fleas to giraffes , including pet dogs which really upset my mother because they all "looked so healthy".

It would be a fabulous house, in the right hands (mine?)but you would have to do a viewing using all your imagination and a shed load of anti nausea medication to get past the decor.

I think it would be worth asking if we could have a MN outing to do a mass view, all socially distanced of course. I tried to see the brochure to look at the ground floor floor plan, but all I got was a pop up from someone called Toby asking me if I wanted to arrange a viewing . If I thought Toby would reveal a few gems about the present owners I would be tempted, but I bet he has signed the EA Code of Omertà.

Fanthorpe · 18/07/2020 13:39

It’s not hard to find out who owns it, their home address is registered with Companies House.

viques · 18/07/2020 13:41

@attillathenun

They are self isolating.

Surely someone on here has access to the police car registration computer data base to give us more info on the owners.

Only joking.

FlamingoAndJohn · 18/07/2020 13:44

@Wecandothis99

Ah I hope the owner doesn't see this thread. How cruel
Normally I agree but if someone chooses to decorate their house with dead animals then fuck um.
MrsHound · 18/07/2020 13:45

Oh my God, if those animals are real, that is the most disgusting thing I have seen in a while.
Who would want to live surrounded by dead animals?
What a tasteless pile.

Beetlewing · 18/07/2020 13:47

That poor house 😢

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/07/2020 13:47

I’m guessing they don’t cook much

or have people over for dinner . There's one vaguely comfortable looking chair and two benches that look like Gymnasium Horses .
Rounded top , leather , shiney - you'd have to sit astride and twist yourself round or risk slipping off the bloody things .
