Just been browsing rightmove, looks innocuous from the outside.

Wonder whether it's a footballer's house?

SerenityNowwwww · 19/07/2020 12:50

Thats standard on street parking.

SoupDragon · 19/07/2020 13:03

@SerenityNowwwww

Thats standard on street parking.
Those 4 bays are resident permit parking only though. Still pretty shit for £27m!
MrsBobDylan · 19/07/2020 13:54

Imagine having that kind of money and spending it like THAT. Think of all the good they could have done with that cash, rather than spending it on big game hunting, taxidermy and cars kept in bubble wrap.

What an obscene way to exist.

custardbear · 19/07/2020 14:46

Here's a fairly ok house for its price 😱 ... then you reach photograph 6 🧐

custardbear · 19/07/2020 14:47

Doh! ....

South Street, Mayfair W1K

Sorry!
Wink

CarrieMoonbeams · 19/07/2020 15:08

Wow, what a house that is though custardbear. You know it's way out of reach when you realise you'd struggle to afford just the flowers in the house, never mind the house itself! (can't quite work out what's going on with the wee pouffes in front of each little table in the first photo though.)

SerenityNowwwww · 19/07/2020 15:20

Soup - that parking is for the area so anyone can use it if they have a licence (so you have to live within the code - or wangle it to get a license). Because of there location you get people coming from the other side of the area to park outside your house to go shopping/walk their dog/catch the tube etc. and it’s probably 8am-8pm (so if you go out for the night and cola back late you can’t get parked!). And it’s in the congestion zone (now 7 days a week - you get a discount if you live in the area but still!). There are quite a few flats around there and parking can be a bitch.

I know - it’s bloody madness!

SoupDragon · 19/07/2020 15:21

Picture 7 of that Mayfair house appears to have a giant owl.

SerenityNowwwww · 19/07/2020 15:23

Ooooh yes - I love owls!

Alsohuman · 19/07/2020 15:31

It was apparently Barbara Cartland’s house - bet it was all pink once!

Viviennemary · 19/07/2020 15:31

Does that being in the kitchen perched on a worktop come alive. Scary.

Alsohuman · 19/07/2020 15:36

Surely if you could afford a house with POA, parking would be your driver’s problem? You’re hardly going to be arriving home with a week’s shop from Tesco. Or even Fortnum and Mason.

SerenityNowwwww · 19/07/2020 15:38

Or have a helipad on the roof.

CrabtreeEstate · 19/07/2020 15:56

When I first scrolled through the pictures I thought oh no, that's hideous... but now that I've watched the video, I actually love it! (Minus all the stuffed animals).
It actually flows really well plus the 007 cinema and bar? Yes!!

VeryLittleOwl · 19/07/2020 17:26

The Mayfair house - interesting artwork in picture 6! Question for any Wiccans, does that look like a young Maxine Sanders to anyone else?

custardbear · 19/07/2020 18:20

@Viviennemary I've been thinking about it, and to be able to afford that house they must be well in with Satan, so that's probably their worshiping alter, they maybe slaughter virgins, like the picture in the Mayfair property - perhaps they're fellow worshippers 🤔

ListeningQuietly · 19/07/2020 18:26

Interesting the efforts that the owner of the house in the OP has gone to to remove all links to his name
its at Companies house after all

maybe its dawned on him and his team that his taste limits the price of the house

in fact the bling houses piss me right off - CLIMATE CHANGE
If you have the money to spare, do something useful with it
not buy a taxidermy zebra rocking horse Hmm

tenredthings · 19/07/2020 18:35

Isn't Nigel's Garage what the new Kent Brexit lorry park is called ? Misses point

SoupDragon · 19/07/2020 18:35

Interesting the efforts that the owner of the house in the OP has gone to to remove all links to his name

Have they?

ListeningQuietly · 19/07/2020 18:38

soup
this thread is rather emmental even though all the info is .gov.uk public domain

SoupDragon · 19/07/2020 18:49

Why do you think that has anything to do with the owner though?

Timeforatincture · 19/07/2020 19:06

I shared this with my family. DS called it "Dictator Chic"

Timeforatincture · 19/07/2020 19:08

The first one

ListeningQuietly · 19/07/2020 20:42

soupdragon
Trophy Hunters and publicity is not a good mix.
Personally I think those animals are on loan from Tring
but having a dead zoo in the dining room may be less of a selling point than the vendor had thought
