Songs that make you sob

Sorry, I know this topic has been done before but...
Recently watched The Falling, and Florence Pugh sings Voyage To The Moon- it's only a brief moment, but I had never heard the song before and I cannot stop thinking about it. I've listened to Donovan and the Mary Hopkin version and I'm sobbing! Absolutely bawling my eyes out! It is such a sad sweet melancholy song. It's making me think of the DCs as babies and how little DD (4) is growing so big now...

Are there any songs that have given you the same reaction? I can't stop listening and crying!

Disclaimer- this may be a result of lockdown hysteriaGrin

Bright eyes. It's a weird physical reaction. I can be perfectly happy but a few bars into that and I am sobbing.

I love this thread!! Am listening to some of the suggestions and they all make me cry!! I hate mama Mia and ABBA but slipping through my fingers has just made me sob!! Never really thought about what it means. I am often in a rush to get the kids to bed so I can have some me time but every day done is another day closer to them leaving home. Waaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!

“These are the days of our lives” - Queen. I always cry because he knew he was dying when he sang that. Breaks my heart.

Dance with my father by Luther Vandross

Lene Marlin - A place nearby

Both remind me of my dad and I cannot listen without tears

Slipping through my fingers. When DD1 and I first watched Mamma Mia we both cried at that point and always have ever since. She asked me to give her away when she gets married as her dad has never been in her life, and now that moment has arrived far too soon!!

As a small but very sensitive child, I heard Eleanor Rugby by the Beatles. Spoilt a whole weekend. Have avoided it ever since.

Also Chasing Cars by Coldplay, because of memories from the time I associate it with.

And, weirdly, Walkin' On Sunshine, because I heard it once at a very difficult time and it has sounded sarcastic ever since.

Say something by a Great Big World. It reminds me of leaving a relationship with a man who I loved dearly but was so damaged he was toxic to be in a relationship with.

Too many at the moment. I'm in love with a man. We can't be together because of this shitshow. I just want to give him a shag. He needs it, I need it. I want him.
