Songs that make you sob

Sorry, I know this topic has been done before but...
Recently watched The Falling, and Florence Pugh sings Voyage To The Moon- it's only a brief moment, but I had never heard the song before and I cannot stop thinking about it. I've listened to Donovan and the Mary Hopkin version and I'm sobbing! Absolutely bawling my eyes out! It is such a sad sweet melancholy song. It's making me think of the DCs as babies and how little DD (4) is growing so big now...

Are there any songs that have given you the same reaction? I can't stop listening and crying!

Disclaimer- this may be a result of lockdown hysteriaGrin

Somewhere by Runrig & Julie Fowlis. My Mum died unexpectedly 2 days after her Birthday 18 months ago & it came on on in the car while we were on the way to say goodbye to her. It’s a beautiful song & very emotive.

One Day more from Les Mis always has me in tears & White Wine in The Sun by Tim Minchin. Have it All by Jason Mraz has made me emotional recently because I’ve got a DD going to Secondary School & it really sums up all of the things I want her to know.

@Katinski, Carolina in my mind is my lockdown song. DD will often ask what my plans are for "tomorrow" , sarcastically. Real answer, as she knows, is the same as every other fucking day since the middle of March, I always tell her I'm thinking of going to Carolina.

I've always loved the song, along with Fire and Rain.

I love Paul Simon. I saw his farewell tour 2 years ago. He played the sound of silence, just him and his guitar. Amazing.

I love Paul Simon too sexnotgender (and your user name come to that Grin). He’s been the soundtrack to my life - from Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover in my Dad’s car to the farewell concert (Hyde Park?). So many are poignant but I used to sing St Judy’s Comet to my children when they were babies so that’s special for me and The Only Living Boy in New York - there’s something so haunting about it.
