Amber Heard & Johnny Depp....Your thoughts?

I have seen this in the news over the past couple of days and wasn't really sure what to think. It sounds to me like a very volatile relationship and it may be that they are both abusers. Or at the least they are completely incompatible with each other.

Today I noticed that Amber Heard was walking into court and she had a scarf around her face. Then she removed the scarf and smiled for everyone and waved and seemed to enjoy the cameras being there. It's just an observation but maybe the accusations of her being a narcissist could be accurate? Or is she maybe trying to put a brave face on it all under what must be a very stressful situation for all concerned?

Johnny Depp kept his mask on but was also waving for the cameras I should add.

Anyway, I'm well aware it's none of my business really, it was just something I had thought about after seeing the news today and wondered what others thought!

I think they have both shown themselves to be damaging, toxic and utterly horrible people. They deserve each other if only because then they’ll save someone else having to put up with their abusive vile behaviour. They are both revolting.

Morgan freeman has had allegations of abuse levelled agaisnt him, not sure what came of it.

Those students at Warwick were rightly and eventually chucked out of university for similar WhatsApp messages about fellow pupils. Two middle aged movie stars text it and it’s just lads bantz by two “legends”. How many abusive men have we seen through the years, how many on this site? And have any of them inspired the same reaction, are women texting each other that they should rape and burn their abusive exes? It’s a product of a culture of pervasive misogyny.

I agree. Both him and Paul Bettany are trash. I looked on Bettany's twitter and see he's doing lots of virtue signalling- what a fcking hypocrite after joking about JD having sex with amber's dead corpse after burning her or drowning her. Both of them are misogynistic pricks.

I think both of them should never be within 10 miles of each other ever again and I pity anyone who gets into a relationship with either of them. They both need professional help instead of point scoring who the winner in this relationship. The money on legal representation would be much better spent on therapy.

Totally agree. There will be no “winner” here. They are both showing their true colours now and both of them are coming out smelling of garbage.

72 hour benders, blackouts, fist fights, destroying property, and joking about rape. Without serious therapy neither of them will ever be able to have a functional relationship with anyone. They will both remain miserable fck ups.

Sounds like they deserve each other. I know the trial is in the UK because it involves the Sun, but shame we have to put up with these mucky types, we've got enough of our own.

The whole thing is an utter shit show and no one comes out of this looking good. It's just another example of how the pandemic has rendered celebrities pointless, spoilt and silly. There is real stuff going on and this vile pair are squabbling about who shat the bed and who slammed a cupboard door. They should both go home and do some charity work - in private.

I'll wait for the outcome. Hopefully the truth will win in the end, much as a large legal bill for The Sun would make me smile.

He was vulnerable, she was abusive. If you flipped the genders there'd be no question.

It's incredibly sad and highlights how little care there is for male victims of abuse. It was immediately assumed he was in the wrong, his name was dragged through the mud...there's not enough care for male victims at all. All you have to do is look at all the things like 'womens aid' etc...there's very little out there for a man suffering abuse to seek help. It's depressing.

He wasn’t vulnerable. If he was vulnerable and the victim why did he continue to harass her (via sending goons to her house, and refusing to give her the financial settlement he’d agreed to) after the divorce? He wouldn’t leave her alone, which is typical abuser behaviour.

They both sound pretty vile, tbh. I'm aware I only know what is in the media and that I haven't paid much attention to it, but what I have seen makes me think they're equally horrible people to be in a relationship with.

I have been thoroughly unimpressed with people on both 'sides' throughout.

noone wants to believed that beloved Johnny depp would do such a thing, but this is the whole problem isnt it.

@Branleuse I don’t believe she was abused to the degree she claims, I think they had an incredibly volatile relationship but that she is just as guilt of any abuse as he is. But this is nothing to do with the fact that I think he’s a good actor, it’s because I’ve heard the tapes and there is no denying, in them she sounds like the abuser!

Morgan Freeman was accused of sexual harassment by eight different women, and allegedly had an affair with his first ex-wife’s granddaughter, who he and his second ex-wife adopted (the details came out after the girl was sadly murdered, and texts and things from the girl were read out in court).

The part about holding the dog out the car window is awful.

Reading all the court testimony the allegation that she caused his finger injury seems implausible.

The constant suspicion of her male co stars and banning her from doing nude scenes is text book abusive.

OTOH, his private doctor presented her with a negligee so perhaps Depp wasn’t totally paranoid! Who knows

The whisky! Hard, hard liquor.... Pints of it.... Endless bottles of wine.... Coke and whisky at midday, bags of mdma... How can one liver sustain all that??

Don't know what to make of it. Best leave it to the courts.
