Amber Heard & Johnny Depp....Your thoughts?

I have seen this in the news over the past couple of days and wasn't really sure what to think. It sounds to me like a very volatile relationship and it may be that they are both abusers. Or at the least they are completely incompatible with each other.

Today I noticed that Amber Heard was walking into court and she had a scarf around her face. Then she removed the scarf and smiled for everyone and waved and seemed to enjoy the cameras being there. It's just an observation but maybe the accusations of her being a narcissist could be accurate? Or is she maybe trying to put a brave face on it all under what must be a very stressful situation for all concerned?

Johnny Depp kept his mask on but was also waving for the cameras I should add.

Anyway, I'm well aware it's none of my business really, it was just something I had thought about after seeing the news today and wondered what others thought!

He's pissed whatever talent he had up the wall through his inability to deal with his issues, and she's a talentless clout chaser. @/nickwallis on Twitter has been live tweeting the court proceedings.

TheVanguardSix · 08/07/2020 21:46

Broken people, the pair of them. Full of demons, vitriol, and sadness. I feel sorry for JD's kids. It's rather humiliating, much as they must love their dad, to see all of his and AH's incredibly dirty laundry being aired all over the goddamn place. Awful. That'll scar them. I suppose they've witnessed some lousy scenes in their lives, but it must suck seeing all of this splashed all over the media.

JudyGemstone · 08/07/2020 21:47

Oops, will report duplicates - sorry!

Windyjuly · 08/07/2020 21:49

Well! It's certainly been shared now judy Grin

Defenbaker · 08/07/2020 21:51

On the news they showed a secretly filmed video of him slamming some doors in a kitchen. The video was shown in court, and they asked him whether he agreed he had been violent in the video. His reply "Only to cupboards" made me chuckle.

I doubt he's an easy person to live with, but AH seems like an unstable attention seeker, so I don't believe her version of events. Also, if my DH deliberately took a sh** in bed and left it for me to find, I can imagine I'd feel pretty violent towards him (not saying violence is justified, but that would certainly provoke anger in most people).

narrowboatgirl · 08/07/2020 21:52

His reply "Only to cupboards" made me chuckle.

Yes domestic violence is hilarious.

madcatladyforever · 08/07/2020 21:54

I do wonder what his marriage to Vanessa Paradis was like and why they divorced.

YonBonnieBanks · 08/07/2020 21:55

They have evidence that he has a drug and alcohol problem

That doesn't make him a wife beater

And that's the key issue that they have yet to evidence.

SunbathingDragon · 08/07/2020 21:56

They weren’t married. I doubt we will ever know the real reason although I wouldn’t be surprised if he is asked in court.

I’d like to think VP had enough of his addictions and behaviour.

frumpety · 08/07/2020 21:57

It sounds like it was a very toxic relationship, I am sure she is better off out of it. I think he needs professional help.

I would say evidence he has a drug, alcohol and anger problem. Completely agree that at the moment, no evidence he physically hit AH. Undoubtably though, it was an abusive relationship due to both of their actions.

narrowboatgirl

What was posted proved that is wasn't him that violent to the professor but his bodyguards.

SunbathingDragon · 08/07/2020 21:59

She is how old and she cannot control her own bowels???

The whole point is that she can control them. What’s actually worse is the fact she just dismissed it as a mere prank, which makes me wonder what she does consider to be unacceptable behaviour.

SummerDayWinterEvenings · 08/07/2020 21:59

His treatment of the professor his security detail assaulted -says everything about those that "protect him". I watched him on Graham Norton -he is not a nice person and never had been. Hollywood protects him and those like him.

I'd imagine trying to live with someone so difficult who is on alcohol and drugs must be a total nightmare. I also find it difficult when he says "I don't recollect that" "I don't remember that" -actually what he means -is, yes, it could have happened, or I was so out of it -she could well be telling the truth.

Saying he wanted to her dead body and the other texts -absolutely shocking and he needs to be dropped by Hollywood alone for those comments and now.

taraRoo · 08/07/2020 22:00

Stupid man married beautiful young woman who is as crazy as him. He is screwed ip vain and dumb. She is a gold digger and a manipulator. She is just as wild as he is. Toxic in the extreme.

AuntMasha · 08/07/2020 22:01

These are two really psychologically damaged people who will both come out of this inauspicious lawsuit badly.

Tinseltown sounds like a kind of hell to me. I don’t think that kind of artificial life is all that good to grow up in unless you’re truly aware of its pitfalls and be tough enough to withstand the superficial and ephemeral nature of it.

narrowboatgirl · 08/07/2020 22:03

FrippEnos yes that’s exactly what I said. See?

“narrowboatgirl 21:17
In 2002 he was sued for getting his bodyguards to severely physically assault a disabled university professor”

Still doesn’t explain why SkyMoo1 lied by claiming the bodyguards only “bear hugged her out” when Sky’s own link said they handcuffed her and dragged her across the floor. Or why Sky is determined to paint a random ordinary professor as being an abuser and a liar in order to defend a man with multiple arrests and lawsuits for assault.

Nearlyalmost50 · 08/07/2020 22:03

Handsome is as handsome does. Doubly true in this case! Beauty really means nothing, they are just horrid people.

PenelopePitstop49 · 08/07/2020 22:04

They're just as bad as each other.

Just two people who should never have met, and even worse, who haven't learned a single thing from it.

LochJessMonster · 08/07/2020 22:04

Both in the wrong and completely toxic.
If lawyers weren’t just after money, I’m sure they would have both been advised to drop their respective cases.

Neither will come out of this well.

Defenbaker · 08/07/2020 22:05

@narrowboatgirl Of course I didn't mean that domestic violence is funny, you're twisting my words. Slamming cupboard doors is not good, but it's hardly the equivalent of being violent towards a human being. JD is clearly volatile and no doubt his alcohol intake makes him behave badly, but I don't believe AH is blameless either.

Windyjuly · 08/07/2020 22:07

A sister in law to Depp said vp was a bitch and hated his mum and he chose Peggy sue Hmm sounds odd after so many years together and which is why I was surprised that he had bad upbringing.

Re smashing things, dh dented a bin about two years ago, I've slammed a few doors.

99.9% of the time we live in totally harmony. Absolutely no shouting or slanging matches etc.

I can't get excited about him slamming a cupboard. The whole existence seems very hollow and sad.

possiblepickle · 08/07/2020 22:12

I do hope that one good thing that can come out of this is that people like him finally wake up to the reality of today’s film world. And stop overestimating their power.
I also hope this means a lot of genuinely good men get to have a chance at movies. Sick to the back teeth of watching Affleck/Di Caprio/Damon every bloody where.
