How many unread emails have you got in your inbox?

A mysterious maverick known only as “Joey M.”, from Rhode Island, has managed to amass 4,294,967,256 unread emails in his inbox. He is the current world record holder for most unread emails

I thought I was bad with 1,466 but the above makes me feel much better about it. Seriously, what are the chances of one of them being from a solicitor about some unknown aunt leaving me a million pounds?

Most are from Debenhams offering me 30% off in their never ending sale.

I could just ditch them all in one go couldn't I?

None, I delete as they arrive or read if required. I worry I’d miss new e-mails that might be important.

None. Can't stand emails in my inbox, unread or otherwise. I deal with emails as they come in, either delete and unsubscribe, file in the relevant folder, or deal with and subsequently delete. I do the same at work. When I first started my current role the shared mailbox was an abomination and nearly gave me a heart attack daily, but thankfully it's organised now. Fortunately my colleague is as obsessive about it as I am

I find the reactions hilarious when people use my phone and see the icon. They range from "how can you live like that?" To "me too"

2211 in my personal, mostly junk or notifications that I need to weed through and delete. I miss the roll up app! I have about 150ish in my work email but I'm just back from a week off so they should all be sorted by the end of the week.

I read last year that deleting 30 emails saves the energy equivalent of a lightbulb's daily consumption, so I try to make time every quarter or so to not just file, but delete anything that isn't significant.

None, or at least none for very long. I don't understand why you wouldn't just delete things - it is so quick. Don't you lose stuff you need if you don't clear it out??

I try not to have too many read ones either, though they do accumulate at times. There are 5 just now.
