How many unread emails have you got in your inbox?

A mysterious maverick known only as “Joey M.”, from Rhode Island, has managed to amass 4,294,967,256 unread emails in his inbox. He is the current world record holder for most unread emails

I thought I was bad with 1,466 but the above makes me feel much better about it. Seriously, what are the chances of one of them being from a solicitor about some unknown aunt leaving me a million pounds?

Most are from Debenhams offering me 30% off in their never ending sale.

I could just ditch them all in one go couldn't I?

7,847 in my personal account. 90% is just spam. I turn my notifications off for it and just check it periodically. I have a separate email I use for actual important stuff and that has 0.

How do you know it's spam if not read... why not delete it & some spam does have functional option to unsubscribe.

@lljkk I just can't really be arsed. I just use it for confirmation emails when I order online etc. I made a different account for my house purchase and I use that for actual important stuff now. The rest is just online shopping confirmations and some discount codes tbh

Personal email, about 2k, which I keep thinking I should sort out, but actually, it doesn't matter does it.

Work emails are all read, and if I have more than 100 in my inbox waiting to be sorted I find that stressful. My colleague gets down to zero on a regular basis, weirdo! But she is not as busy as me.

It's easy to tell marketing emails from real ones without opening them.

Those of you that have lots unread, how do you know that there aren't ones that are important or you would want to read in there?

Because I do check and open/deal with the important ones which are generally ones I'm expecting anyway and it's easy to tell from who they're from and the subject line and I can see first few lines of email

None out of six email accounts. I read and flag or delete and/or unsubscribe. I can’t handle seeing other people’s unread email numbers!!
