@LivinLaVidaLoki we’re going to Crete. I was last there 20 years ago (Malia!) & have really been looking forward to seeing the island again (without a permanent hangover!) Flights were booked in September last year, accommodation booked in Jan, so it’s been a long time coming.

Morning everyone. I know things are far from back to normal but I feel a bit lighter today to think of some things opening up. I don't even have any exciting plans just right now but just to know I have a few more options to do things is lovely.

Allflights we have our share of dementors but most are just keyboard warriors that are staying in! It's pretty quiet still and loads of stuff still can't open sadly xx

Currently sitting in dds favourite cafe waiting for all day breakfasts. Dog has been served her usual sausage already. A few tables have been taken out and cups are all disposable but all seems very normal. DH has been singing Hurry Up Harry by Sham 69. He seems quite keen to investigate the high street for carnage this evening, so it seems “we’re going down the pub” after all!

Yeah well done MrTrapped. Send excess unwanted deserts here they will be well taken care of I promise.

Off to work soon to wear my visor for the first time. Oh joy. 2 days ago nobody cared now i will be killing millions if i don't wear it according to Boris and his lackeys.

So glad I don't follow people on FB I couldn't cope with that level of ignorance preached at me I would have to step away or get stuck in about scaremongering, facts and figures and did they think nobody ever died of anythjng infectious/poverty/accidents etc before 2020?
Are people so brainwashed that they believe all that crap? How did they ever leave thier homes before January?

I am very sad about the people who can't open and about not to be getting a deckchair on the beach for example (according to LymeOnline). We always enjoy our chats with the family that run the concession. I imagine our favourite restaurant is going to struggle to open profitably for sit down as it's so small. But I'm really looking forward to getting to my happy place, supporting a few local businesses and visiting our neighbours who are mostly old ladies (one of whom has had to go into a home since lockdown started ) xx

Blimey. My FB feed is full of dementoring about masks - along the lines of “Shut the fuck up and put a mask on!!!”. It must be the new “Stay the fuck at home!!!”

Just ordered tonight's takeaway for DH's birthday. Little Caribbean place that we went to for lunch on his 40th last year, they don't seem to be opening so takeaway it is. It is a half hour drive though so I'll have to take an insulated box and hope it doesn't go too cold!

DH has decided pubs sound like too much hassle, so no birthday pub visit. I'm only disappointed because I really wanted to be able to admit to going to the pub the first day they opened, in reality I find pubs boring and expensive and am quite happy not to go! I've decided drinking in the garden/on the drive with my neighbours is a lot more fun.

I've had to delete my Facebook app, I couldn't cope with the combination of covidiots and my current state of hormonal moodiness that makes we want to argue with everyone. Even DH is being too dementory for me, I asked if the village playground was opening (it's not council owned) and he said no. Then said he didn't think it was a good idea... Because of touching things. He is shit at risk assessment and is actually really concerned about getting Covid19, which is hilarious for someone who drinks, smokes and used to be a heroin addict! His lifestyle is way more likely to kill him than a virus.

I give up. Bloody idiots everywhere...

Just been for a walk and noticed the little coffee shop is quite busy with it's tables all over the pavement outside- nice to see, and the hairdressers too. No masks anywhere too thankfully but the hairdressers had the visors on. It felt quite normal no madness around

Someone on Twitter was arguing that there are "literally no downsides" to mask wearing.

Yeah, just like there are no downsides to lockdown and it should be as early and as harsh as possible.

Mr Trapped has said if you all could develop a taste for Waitrose luxury desserts, along with M&S top end as well that would be great. He doubts very much he'll be in the dept that supplies F&M just yet but he'll let me know when.
