Mine seems to favour

“Smash this”

Makes me internally shudder everytime I see I written. And it’s wrote a lot

Share of wallet - ie how much of the customer’s budget we can win.

It makes me cringe.

SaraLeeCakes · 22/06/2020 06:46

I like solutionise

Teetotallyimperfect · 22/06/2020 06:49

Let's have a conversation.
The client journey.
Deep dive.
We've got this.

BobBingoLuv · 22/06/2020 06:51

@Teetotallyimperfect CAB? GrinWink

CarebearSt4re · 22/06/2020 06:52

Learning curve

Fake it til you make it

Passthecake30 · 22/06/2020 06:57

It’s a marathon not a sprint
Eating the elephant
Smart working

Bowchicawow · 22/06/2020 13:39

@livefornaps probably, we're all one team one dream Grin

actually that one, my DS6 told me and i thought "what the fuck are they doing to you in primary school?!"

30 years more to retire.

AbacabMR · 22/06/2020 13:59

One that’s been around for years but has always pissed me off. At a meeting, someone not asking ‘who’s taking the minutes’ but instead ‘who’s scribing’.

BikeRunSki · 22/06/2020 16:57

But “scribe” is a verb, meaning to write things down?

BlusteryLake · 22/06/2020 17:33

@Passthecake30 what is "eating the elephant?" I am intrigued!

Pelleas · 22/06/2020 17:38

Let's drill down into this data.

livefornaps · 22/06/2020 18:37

@Bowchicawow fahckin 'ell, I've beem lumped in on the company's "dream team", too.

I don't think I'm ever gunna be able to retire, waaahhh! When I'm done, they'll just throw me on the scrapheap

Mawbags · 22/06/2020 18:45

I used to work for a biG uS bank and that place is full of it

Raising the kimono- sexist crap
Fireside chat - patronising crap
Blue sky thinking
Emm

WokeUpSmeltTheCoffee · 22/06/2020 18:48

Come on Mawbags what actually is it with this kimono stuff? You are the 3rd person who has mentioned it but I've never heard of it.
What have kimonos got to do with banking???

Eminybob · 22/06/2020 18:57

My boss says “it is what it is” a lot. And now I’ve found myself doing it.

There was a phase where all the big wigs used the word “exemplar” all the frigging time. It really annoyed me, luckily they seem to have stopped.

Cherry321 · 22/06/2020 19:06

Lots of deep dives in my place. Make me chuckle because I’m immature Grin

Passthecake30 · 22/06/2020 19:06

@BlusteryLake eating the elephant is about getting through a huge task

Whingeingpom · 22/06/2020 19:31

My biggest grrr lately is that no one talks about anything anymore, we have "discussions around" it instead.

I am a very bad "it is what it is" culprit Blush

Mawbags · 22/06/2020 19:49

@WokeUpSmeltTheCoffee

You raise the kimono to entice interest in a deal. It’s showing something small to pique interest (well in a financial way)

It’s incredibly sleazy phrase and I hated it
Investment banks were very misogynistic though,
This was early 2000 I hope they no longer use it.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 22/06/2020 19:56

'Dojo points' really winds me up. I won't use it. I can't be that person...

AbacabMR · 22/06/2020 20:22

@BikeRunSki

But “scribe” is a verb, meaning to write things down?
Yes’ I know it is. So why not just say write?
WildRosie · 22/06/2020 21:28

'Going forward' and 'box it off'. What a load of shit. Who teaches people to speak like this ?

topcat2014 · 22/06/2020 21:41

Our motto is No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.

oh, that and,

All messengers will be shot.

MrsKingfisher · 22/06/2020 21:50

'Mitigate' bugger..off.

jakeyboy1 · 22/06/2020 21:52

@mawbags we have fireside chat - not a bank - I didn't realise it was a US thing but makes sense now!
