human rights also includes social responsibility
Why should be people have to be fearful or humiliated?
honest differences of opinion are different - the whole point is that there shouldn't be a malicious or misleading intent or cause harm or have the potential to cause harm to others

Why should she not say those things? Plenty of people think it and the rational response is to argue against it, not shut it down. It was shutting people down that led to Brexit. If the Labour Party had listened and responded instead of despising them and calling them 'bigoted women' like Gordon Brown that al sad o led to the 2019 election result.

KH doesn't do speech, she just does soundbites for self promotion. We teach our children that there are consequences for behaviour and KH is now "suffering" the consequences of her behaviour vs a social media company's conditions of use. She won't change what she thinks or says but she no longer has a wider platform to do this. Good.

The more we allow people like her, the EDL, Nigel Farage, etc to spread their vile views the less we can say that as a nation we are tolerant & inclusive. Their audiences should shrink until they're just shouting at themselves in an empty room. It's time to act not stand by and watch.

I couldn't stand her from The Apprentice. She's a horrible rent-a-gob, an absolute troll. Still not sure about banning her though.

I support Twitter's freedom to ban whoever the fuck they want. Especially when it's people like Katie Hopkins.

She has no right to say whatever she wants, wherever she wants, without consequence. Hate speech is a good reason to ban her from twitter. She’d be banned from Sainsbury’s too if she was shouting her tweets in the middle of the fruit isle.

She is very predictable in what she comes out with.

And prone to jumping to conclusions about incidents and blaming Muslims groups of people when something happens - and then not saying "Oh, I got that wrong" when it turns out she got it totally wrong.

Katie Hopkins is a deeply unpleasant individual and I feel truly sorry for her children having a mother like her.

You don't agree? don't follow and ignore. Simple. I don't follow her but I see some vile tweets from blue ticks often! I don't petition them or report them, maybe I should.

There's no answer from questions put to Twitter as to whether the ban was applied by Twitter officials or because of the petition by her "haters" (hypocrisy) who wanted her banned.

I don't like her BUT I am very worried about free speech at the moment. The rabid left are vicious...the silent majority will rise.

That's how people like Trump and Tories got in the first place, remember!
