I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

I'm rubbish with names, but theres certainly the odd thread I think of and hope that the op is ok.

Yes I have others where I can’t remember the names at all as well. I think today I was just looking through actives and suddenly thought how odder this it is now I don’t tend to see as many familiar names but maybe there’s a lot more people here and a lot more name changing compared to years ago
I think as well so many posts under things like the coronavirus topic etc and it feels a bit more ‘current affairs’ than ‘family’ if that makes sense !

There was a great poster who was someone's alter-ego called LaQueen, I think it was? She was a caricature of the most terrible competitive snob. My favourite post was when she was bragging about her daughters and someone asked her how exactly their superiority would manifest itself and she said something along the lines of they would beat their contemporaries "like a dinner knife cutting through butter ..."

Her life was apparently utterly bloody marvellous. Actually she might have been Barry Humphries having a Peter Sellers moment.

I wonder where FabbyChic went and if she’s okay. She was like a mumsnet grenade. You could guarantee she’d turn up on every thread and post something controversial to piss everyone off, yet there seemed to be something lovely about her too.

Shineoncrazydiamond, I often look for her but she seems to have just disappeared.

Worraliberty has also gone quiet of late.

I used to always ‘see’ the same familiar names I hardly see any now more than once or twice just goes to show how big mn must be now I suppose

I sometimes think of ScottishMummy. She was pretty outspoken and used to make me laugh and be scandalised often.

Also ChaosTrulyReigns and her mad threads.

@HillieBoliday I think the poster you are referring to had a husband who lost his BMW. He parked it somewhere and didn't look for it.

SarahStratton, Stratter5 etc etc - what happened to her (and her pet raven)? Also: GetOrfMoiLand, and Pinot (and her kittens, which will be fairly elderly cats by now).

Some posters who stick with a name over the years become untouchable with makes them post a bit imperiously over time.

Yes she passed away im sure from meningitis very young.
