I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

I became a feminist due to posters like Buffy

Vinotime - she was a single mum who often wrote about her experiences of living frugally. I found her posts really inspiring (single mum myself) but she's not posted for a while. I hope she's okay.

Want2bsupermum - I think she may have left after some posters were rude to her, but I always enjoyed her posts about living and working in America. Hope she's okay too.

ShirleyKnott - we used to have a right laugh under an old username.

TheSecondComing - fab woman, met her once, extremely lovely and a lot of fun.

MrsDevere - such a nice lady. So supportive and kind, despite her heartache.

GetOrfMyLand - so witty. I miss her and her kooky ways - she put fresh bedding on daily? Think she left MN pretty happy. I hope she stayed that way.

I wish them all well, they provided me with lots of laughs/support and kindness years ago. I hope they are all happy wherever they are (doing something much more productive than MN probably!)

There are so many registered users these days that I no longer really notice people's names.
I remember Kateandthegirls, Twiglett, Cod, Hulababy, CountessDracula, MissDee, Maryz and Xenia from several years ago.

I've been here nearly 16 years and always had the same username. I think there were fewer than 10,000 users when I joined.

Worra was on a thread I was on this morning.

Oh there was another poster - can’t remember her username but she had some cracking AIBU - there was one about a wedding (think it’s in classics) she lived by the coast and used to post updates from her workplace. Always had me in stitches. Kicking myself that I can’t remember her name!

I didn't think EatShitDerek was banned. She changed name a couple of times but her posting style was distinctive. I thought someone was trolling her and she got a lot of abuse over her unexpected pregnancy.

I was only thinking today of Expat. The other poster I haven't seen for ages is Pacificdogwood.

Lying is still using that name and posts regularly.
Some of the posters mentioned on here were/are fab.
Others were trolls hidden in plain sight, and others still were one gang of pigtail pullers in the nastiest school playground there ever was.
I expect they'll be along soon to "well hellair mwah mwah" each other, pretending a dog whistle hasn't gone out for them.
I loved Getorf. We loved Gordon Brown together.

I miss Crumbs and her tales of village life and overachieving DC's. And the photos of her bedroom (that she'd lifted straight off the website of a hotel) and her house that looked like she'd taken by hiding in a bush.

I often think about ladyintheradiator or similar. Still worry about her a bit.

There was WellWhoKnew (WWK) who was an inspiring figure fighting her dick of a STBXH.

MrsDevere was an absolute darling. We ended up pming for some reason yonks and yonks ago and she was so genuine and kind.

EatShitDerek is the poster who had all her possessions thrown out by the council? Surprise pregnancy? Used to post about winding her son up for laughs?

Loads of the old guard were banned. Too feminist. Some were just to beggy.

Oh and Dementedma who posted wonderful nonsense and good advice on the Brave Babes Battle Bus.

Yes to all those, I was thinking about weegiemum and she’s popped up on here. Also Pombearwithan ORS? Was it mrsdevere who used to post an outrageous thread title every six months and when you opened it she was drawing us in to remind us to give blood? Sometimes I open threads and hope that it’s one of those.

The posters I think of most are those who have sadly passed away, those banned for defending women's rights, and one who posted once about being homeless, riding the bus for hours to be safe and warm. Was that OddSocks? I really hope it worked out ok for her.
