I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

Who was the poster who was exposed as a troll and was doing the sock-puppeting? I always remember that being a huge shock for everyone as she was really popular and been around for years.

As far as I know BOF is still posting and is the same person? We share a northern seaside town in common.

A lovely lady called Mouse with awful health problems who posted about her son Nemo. Hope they are OK.

I used to have the lovely Mouse on my FB.

I've been here for 16 years but change my name pretty much every week now which is sad. I had the same name for several years but got a bit freaked out by how popular the site had become and had everything deleted. I don't know people in the same way and it feels huge and anonymous but that's liberating in a way.

Cod was funny but there was a huge sense of cliquishness that was a bit stifling looking back.

Bonsoir lived in Paris and LaQueen in Surrey if I recall. LaQueen posted far too much personal info and even a photo, unless it was all a fabrication, who knows

Cod was the same, you knew her occupation, dress size, cat's name and where she lived, you just couldn't put up half that info now. The world has changed a lot.

Don't agree with poster who said you post less as DC's grow up, I go through stages but you just post in different topics. I come here for all views on current affairs, world events now which is why I'm happy to pay the subs, it gives me a glimpse into what the world is thinking.

LaQueen was originally LeQueen, due to the fact that she was too dim to even register the nuances of French vocab and their gendered words.

EatShitDerek and StrandedPolarBear were very similar.

I half know MrsDevere in real life (well, facebook) and she is ok, still buggering on as far as I can tell. I’m also fb friends with another old timer who is always mentioned on these threads but for the life of me I can’t remember her mn name! She’s ok too though!

The Giraffe lady was GiraffesCantDanceTheTango or different variations of it. I have her on my FB she is still as funny and lovely as ever

There was a poster that changed names that had Ghost in their name. I think they were called out for trolling but o he off chance they were for real I hope they're ok.

Mamazon was always good too. She frequently used to tell me off.....i needed a stern talking to at times. I have been on here for 12 years but now name change regularly because I worry about people who know me in RL working out who i am

I think you've conflated ESD and Ghostspirit. The latter had a chaotic home life and 5(?) kids. The last thing I read of hers was about her eldest child being pregnant. She had a distinctive style too.

Nope, that poster was correct. ESD had a 'surprise' pregnancy and I vaguely remember her starting a thread where she told her son he had to go school when it was the holidays. Got torn a new arsehole til someone realised who the OP was and then it was all about the lolz

She posted for years about her fabulous life with two young kids in Zone 1 London, they never followed any of those boring parenting rules like us sheep, and then it turned out to all be a lie. A zombie thread got resurrected where she was posting as a nanny to posh London folks.

At the time we didn't seem to have so many trolls and bots so it was way more shocking.
