I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

I'm rubbish with names so can't remember anyone that hasnt been mentioned. But I'm here nodding and saying "yes yes" to all of them Smile

Davespecifico · 13/06/2020 22:36

Back in 2007 there were Cod and Custardo and about 10 others. There was A baby led weaner person: can’t remember her name. Xenia is still here.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 13/06/2020 22:37

EMIN, I think of her often.

MinnieMountain · 13/06/2020 22:38

Not wonder exactly but I often think of WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo and TwitterQueen. They were amazingly supportive on the cancer support threads, despite going through so much themselves.

selfishteenagers · 13/06/2020 22:40

i always thought stratters would look like patsy kensit

I always get a very distinct image of posters too ! For some reason I always thought Riven would be a Kim kardashian lookalike
Eatshitderek I had almost as a dawn french sort of look, ghost ..(can’t remember the rest of the name) sort of imagined her as a cross between the actress who played Becky in coronation street years ago and ferne cotton that kind of look and worraliberty I alway envisaged as very tall for some reason ! It’s funny how you develop an image for people you haven’t met

Cod and Riven, where did they go? Generally I don’t notice names anymore - was think there are so many more people!

Aeons ago but Cod, Rhubarb and Custard, Littlelapin, whose newborn must be twenty or so now, MissDee and her sisters. More recently Riven (utter hero and I often wonder how she's getting on), MaryZ, expatinscotland.

'who was the long-term poster who bragged for years about her amazing life in central London'

Was she the one who had two boys in a one bed flat and went on constantly about it being brilliant and everyone should live that way?

Herdwick · 13/06/2020 22:43

I think people naturally drop out after a while once they have got past the young children stage I've been here over a decade and 'know' most of the names mentioned, some I've even met in real life, but I'm posting less and less as my children get older.

The only thing that keeps me here now is FWR P

bigchris · 13/06/2020 22:43

Kateandthegirls

Custardo

Herdwick · 13/06/2020 22:44

The P was accidental. The rest I stand by

EstherLittle · 13/06/2020 22:44

FellatioNelson

Best user name ever

I think she moved to Qatar. I had a friend living over there and we used to wonder if they had met somewhere in the expat community.

She started the Christmas Poncing threads where everyone collected pine cones and made their own napkins out of antique hankies.

I think that was Artandco or something like that? That’s who I came on to say. She always sounded like she had such a cool lifestyle (albeit one that wouldn’t appeal to me personally). Gutted if she was actually a troll!
Howzaboutye · 13/06/2020 22:49

Ah where is MarmaladeTwatkins eh? That really made me laugh. If I see a cake in a shop, you know what, I just want to punch it!

Howzaboutye · 13/06/2020 22:49

Maybe, just maybe they are on mums chat eh

We talked a lot through the newborn stage and all hours of the day/night during feeds. It was nice to relate with someone with a baby so close in age Smile

TowandaForever · 13/06/2020 22:54

Havent seen portofino for ages

ssd · 13/06/2020 22:54

I still think of Biscuitsandbandages and the little crumbsSad

RUOKHon · 13/06/2020 22:57

Years ago there was a poster called WhenWillIFeelNormal. She gave great advice on the relationships board about infidelity. Her husband had cheated in the past and they had worked it out and stayed together. Apparently he’d really done the work and did and said all the right things, but I still got the feeling that she wasn’t really happy with her decision to stay - no matter how perfect he was trying to be.

I haven’t seen her for ages but whenever I think of her I hope she LTB in the end and is happy now with a new, faithful partner.
