This bit of the m5...eurgh

Zisforstripyoss · 06/06/2020 22:47

Electricity pylons. They proper freak me out if I'm near them. If I'm passing them on a running route, I literally sprint past them!

sooveritalready · 06/06/2020 22:48

Mince. Can't relax for a moment eating it, get fat or gristle suddenly. Only touch veggie mince

morninglarking · 06/06/2020 22:48

Plastic chopping boards, even worse if scraped or scrubbed or if two rub together when being pulled out of a drawer! 🤮

Holothane · 06/06/2020 22:50

Balloons if they squeak or some blowing them up, I’m out of there,

HorsesDoovers · 06/06/2020 22:54

My DMum hates buttons and my DAuntie hates stickers. I can't cope with sharp knives when my anxiety is bad.

whatthehecksausages · 06/06/2020 22:54

tampons 🤢

AbsolutePleasure · 06/06/2020 22:56

Wet wooden spoons. Also bamboo toothbrushes.

Nestofvipers · 06/06/2020 23:02

@ MacavityTheDentistsCat people always look at me like I’m completely mad when I tell them about my polystyrene hatred/phobia. It’s awful stuff. First world problem I know, but it makes getting a take away and unpacking electrical goods really tricky doesn’t it?

Cotton wool, especially the stuff where you have to pull it apart. It makes me feel all funny just thinking about it.

Also those toe socks that people had that were like gloves. The thought of rubbing your toes together and feeling that material makes me gag.

Nestofvipers · 06/06/2020 23:06

@Holothane. Completely with you on the balloons. I’m ok with the foil ones but the rubber ones urgh. I especially hate that horrible crunchy sound rubber balloons make when they land on carpet-it really makes me shudder. No one else seems to get this.

LightenUpSummer · 06/06/2020 23:09

InvisibleToEveryone I know, and am also terrified of, that bit of the M5. Can’t believe people on your link voted it their favourite motorway!

BogRollBOGOF · 06/06/2020 23:11

Print that is proportionately too big to read a flow of text on a page.

Swimming pool cubicals. Claustropobia, low ceilings, dim lighting and sensory overload from the humidity and echo. Public nudity in a single sex communal changing room is so much easier.

RedRec · 06/06/2020 23:20

I have the holes thing too. Trypophobia. Didn't know it was a thing until a few years ago when it brought back childhood memories of dreaming about holes on the backs of my hands. Ugh. Can't look at anything honeycomb-y without shuddering, can't stand on a doormat with holes in and as for the inside of a foxglove - oh my days ...

Shower curtains. Nasty things that attach themselves to you if you get too close. I have glass shower screens in all my showers, so it is a rare problem.

Not having a sheet between me and my duvet. I just can’t sleep if the duvet+cover is touching me. I have to have a flat sheet between me and the said duvet.

babynoname23 · 06/06/2020 23:24

Crisps terrify me especially empty packets. I can't be in the same room as someone eating them

MattBerrysHair · 06/06/2020 23:25

Toe socks and those weird trainer type shoes with toes. What are they even for?

Scoobydoobydo · 06/06/2020 23:28

Those huge wind thingies that blot the county side....they will start walking and get us as we sleep

ShredMeJillianIWantToBeNatalie · 06/06/2020 23:29

Oh that bit of the M5....we were on it one day and something unidentified hit our roof box really hard with a bang. I was driving and we all shrieked WTF WAS THAT?! Pulled over as soon as it was safe, convinced there’d be a huge dent in the roof box and some sign of something....anything......

Nothing.

managedmis · 06/06/2020 23:30

I hate to see babies in slings......I can’t look! The thought of mum tripping and falling 🙈🙈🙈

^

Finally! Not just me

Even worse is people holding them perched on their arm, facing forward, other arm not around them, little legs dangling down. Omg how can you?

managedmis · 06/06/2020 23:31

Me too redrec, didn't know about the insides of foxgloves, shudder

Pieceofpurplesky · 06/06/2020 23:31

Dish cloths in sinks. Like a ball of germs and then they wipe the kitchen surface 🤮

Beetroot. Nasty, blood-stained beetroot plates
