Black shower scrapers. They look like sinister, prehistoric raptor birds

MitziK · 06/06/2020 21:49

@Namechange3007

I just looked up trypophobia. I dont get it? Why is it disgusting?
Maggots and particularly Hookworms.

Doesn't affect me, but it is a natural human aversion that gets slightly skewed in some people.

Namechange3007 · 06/06/2020 21:51

What cos people think stuff will crawl out of the holes?

toothfairy73 · 06/06/2020 21:53

Wooden spoons

SpeedofaSloth · 06/06/2020 21:56

YY to roads going downhill, I feel like I might fall off somehow.

MrsBudd · 06/06/2020 21:59

Pencil shavings 😬 not sure why!

CrystalTipped · 06/06/2020 22:01

Brillo pads, just the sight of them grosses me out. I think I'm physically incapable of scouring a pan with one.

iMatter · 06/06/2020 22:02

Lupins

We have lots in our garden this year and they are huge

I think it might be related to a fairy tale when I was younger. All I know is they scare the bejesus out of me

Thecazelets · 06/06/2020 22:05

Am phobic about clumsily proportioned upholstered furniture too big for the room it's in. And tiny piano pedals. Started in childhood and I think might have been a mild form of Alice in Wonderland syndrome, especially as I developed migraines later on. Much less affected now but still makes my teeth chatter and my hands go weird just thinking about it.

Riv12345 · 06/06/2020 22:06

Belly buttons !!!!

MattBerrysHair · 06/06/2020 22:08

Long unpainted fingernails, especially on men Envy not envy.

The sound of liquid being poured into a glass, especially wine. Just bleurgh!

Men wearing suits.

Also, not an everyday item, but the area on ships where it meets the water.

JustAddCoffee91 · 06/06/2020 22:08

Boiled sweets or anything shaped similar my brother nearly choked to death when he was 2 and the fear of choking has followed me ever since 😲

AnneBullen · 06/06/2020 22:08

Those pads that you put down for puppies to wee and poo on.

Gulsink · 06/06/2020 22:09

Towels. Not all the time, but sometimes the thought of biting one pops into my head and sets my teeth on edge.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 06/06/2020 22:11

Freezers and slugs!

JustAddCoffee91 · 06/06/2020 22:12

@Gulsink I used to do this when I was pregnant 😂

Wind turbines. I can hear a high pitched noise if they are nearby, so even if I can't see them I know they are there. I always imagine the blades coming loose and flying towards me to decapitate me like a horror movie scene.

LyndaSnellsSniff · 06/06/2020 22:30

DS can’t bear stickers or players. He can’t even cope with those tiny stickers on apples and bananas. When he was in infant school he would deliberately get work wrong so that he wouldn’t be given a sticker!

LyndaSnellsSniff · 06/06/2020 22:30

plasters not players!

CarrieMoonbeams · 06/06/2020 22:32

Those tiny wooden spoons you used to get with your ice cream at the cinema. Bleugh, the feeling of that horrid dry little spoon on my tongue and on my fingers, yuk.

Also if there's been a storm, I absolutely hate seeing the underside of any trees that have blown over. All that mud and roots, shudder.

InvisibleToEveryone · 06/06/2020 22:33

Wooden cutlery..nope not in my mouth ta.
Paper straws, same ick feeling.

Driving on the M5? I think it is?
It's like driving round a cliff, with sheer drops either side of the motorway. With one half of the motorway higher than the other...hate it.

DareDevil223 · 06/06/2020 22:34

Open stairs, I couldn't live in a house with an open staircase, especially the spiral ones. They terrify me.

AwDrxo · 06/06/2020 22:36

Those footsie socks people wear. Don’t mind normal ankle socks but the ones that just cover the heel and toes make me feel so uneasy and my skin crawl. Absolutely no idea why!

nitgel · 06/06/2020 22:38

The fear of holes photos gives me pins and needles in my head.
