The colour orange. I hate it. Except oranges as in fruit and orange juice. Won't wear anything orange or have anything orange in the house. I won't even sit on an orange chair in the doctor's waiting room.

Gulsink · 07/06/2020 00:03

My son hates stickers too. Not sure why. It just suddenly occured when he was about 4 or 5. He's 6 now and still has this phobia.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 07/06/2020 00:08

Knife Blocks out on the kitchen counter. Knives should be in a drawer.
I couldn't have a knife block myself as I'd terrified of sleepwalking & grabbing a knife in my sleep, or god forbid a serial killer broke into the house and borrowed one of the knives. Too much crime fiction I think.
Not everyday but submarines, tanks, helicopters, WW2 aircraft & air raid sirens in real life I find eerie & the submarines give me the heebie jeebies.
Which is quite strange as I love reading about military history especially the First World War.

Perhaps I think too much about what I read Grin

Coat hangers, detest them, hate using them. The wire ones getting tangled. Arghhh.

easterbunny123 · 07/06/2020 00:22

The thought of touching wet wrinkled feet with wet wrinkled hands in the bath or swimming pool Angry

easterbunny123 · 07/06/2020 00:23

Not an item but an everyday occurrence!

Perro · 07/06/2020 00:25

Kitchen knives, I hate them. They have to be out of sight. The what ifs haunt me Shock

Scoobydoobydo · 07/06/2020 00:25

That’s it Pieceofpurplesky Turbines!
Couldn’t think of the name for the life of me
Scary!

Lemonmaid · 07/06/2020 00:25

Railway lines especially when hissing and crackling

Freight trains

Elevated sections of motorway where there's a very long drop below e.g. around Birmingham, Manchester and a part of the M74 southbound.

Mushrooms. Growing ones and also raw ones!
Worse one is holes though! Completely get it. It makes me feel sick to see lots of holes together.
My daughter had a couple of veruccas side by side and I could quite easily faint.
Fast flowing rivers. Once saw one in Holland. It was so wide and fast flowing that it made me feel jittery.
Earwax.
Potatoes with eyes 👀
Mould.

Macarons, literally no idea why and I've never even tasted one but just get really weirded out when I see them 🤷‍♀️

MistressGammon · 07/06/2020 00:36

Gulsink I have the exact same thing about biting towels! It goes right through me! And the thought of scratching a carpet with my nails.

LightDrizzle · 07/06/2020 00:36

Pliers
Massive hoop earrings
Automatic car washes with the rollers, - it’s like something a Bond villain would dream up to elaborately crush Bond rather than getting one of his armed henchmen to shoot him.

MrsApplepants · 07/06/2020 00:46

I too, find the MOT logo creepy and I don’t know why.
I don’t like Fish and chip forks with the 2 sharp prongs
I also have the fear of holes. For example, sponges, aero bars, crumpets and Bubble wrap make me feel uncomfortable and ill.

Duffmcstockings · 07/06/2020 00:55

Neck tattoos.Make your head look disembodied, or in the case of an acquaintance, looks like he has had an emergency tracheotomy

greydaisys · 07/06/2020 01:01

A ruler dragged down the table that noise 🤢🤢

When ppl lick the flavour off a crisp then eat the crisp

greydaisys · 07/06/2020 01:03

Also the feeling of putting your hands in marigolds when there wet but you dong relise till it's too late

ALongHardWinter · 07/06/2020 01:16

The feeling of a dry bath sponge on dry skin. Makes me cringe.

caringcarer · 07/06/2020 02:05

I'm not good with escalators. I would rather walk up 100 stairs and I shudder if I see one on TV.

caringcarer · 07/06/2020 02:13

I have to drive on M5 when going home to see my sister's. One time I was driving down very late at night in summer to avoid usual queues and caravans and when on high bit I looked across at low bit and saw a basket balloon almost at the same height I was at but it was on low side. It really freaked me out.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/06/2020 02:20

Flour on your hands. Also Microfibre cloths when they are dry. Fine when they are wet.

DramaAlpaca · 07/06/2020 02:29

Dolls with out of proportion heads make me shudder.

Wind turbines are sinister.

I'm terrified of stairs with gaps.

1forAll74 · 07/06/2020 03:10

People with nose piercings. and people who dress dogs and cats in silly costumes and clothes.

eurochick · 07/06/2020 03:50

"The e thought of touching wet wrinkled feet with wet wrinkled hands in the bath or swimming pool"

Yes this! It absolutely turns my stomach.
