For them (victims) to come forward...not him

Smallsteps88 · 08/06/2020 20:33

Oh please please please can someone come forward with something they can use.

I really hope they find answers.

For Gerry and Kate.

For the other families of children missing who he is a suspect for.

I hope they break up other peadophile rings and save many more innocent lives.

And I do hope if found guilty CB is never allowed free. He clearly isn't safe to be a member of society.

SirVixofVixHall · 08/06/2020 20:38

Yes, praying that anyone who he has attacked feels safe to come forward now that he is in prison. Although I am worried that many others may be involved, which might make people too scared.

@NameChange84

They are saying on Sky News that the prosecutor in Germany has evidence Madeleine has been murdered but that he doesn’t have enough direct evidence only circumstantial evidence to charge him. He believes that British and American tourists were attacked by him during the time he lived in Portugal and are appealing for him to come forward.

How could he have slipped under the net?

Sad

Just read this report on sky news about them having evidence she is dead. Its just so sad. Even though justice will be served if he is finally caught, I am horrified at what we might be about to find out.
deepwatersolo · 08/06/2020 21:00

SirVix you think it was a ring? I‘ve been going back and forth on that one. On the one hand it looks at times as if every paedo and their dog has Real Estate and a life in praia da Luz (I mean, Clement Freud, really?) which would suggest some network structure. But now with CB, I was inclined to think he snatched MM for himself, maybe with a buddy‘s help. (But, of course, he might be a Dutroux type doing both).

Smallsteps88 · 08/06/2020 21:01

The horrific thought just crossed my mind that any victims that could come forward maybe aren’t actually alive to do it.

ItsInTheShed · 08/06/2020 21:04

i'm wondering what this evidence could be

a photo maybe. god this is awful

NameChange84 · 08/06/2020 21:08

I feel sick and very emotional. It feels like it could be the worse case scenario, unimaginable. How would a parent ever recover from the possibilities that are being implied? That poor poor child.

deepwatersolo · 08/06/2020 21:19

I am not sure about there being ‚evidence‘ for MMs death. Upon cursory review of the German press, I have not come across this type of definitive wording, at least.

As for photographic evidence, I‘d just like to mention that in the Zanvoordt files investigators talked about ‚look alikes‘ all the time, when relatives believed they had identified their missing daughter or sibling or...
Equally, when Noreen Gosch identified her son on photos (even pointing out birth marks), investigators dismissed that, too.

(There are indications that in both instances investigators were not invested in finding the truth, so this might be different here, hopefully, at least as far as German police is concerned).

NameChange84 · 08/06/2020 21:23

@deepwatersolo

The German Prosecutor said it, in English, in an Interview with Sky News tonight. I heard him say there is “no opportunity” she is alive.

WornDownTired · 08/06/2020 21:25

I don't let my DC out of my sight here in the UK. However, when visiting relatives in Spain I was much more relaxed and at night and was happy for them to wander a bit further than usual because it feels safe.

Chilled on holiday, everyone feeling happy and relaxed, feeling remote and safe, these parents probably thought it was OK.

Little did they know that the Algarve is a haven for these people because of the slack, inept police and the opportunity to abuse. They don't put it in the holiday brochures.

WornDownTired · 08/06/2020 21:27

I think I may be the only person on here that doesn't want a resolution to the case. If it is resolved with this man, I think we are going to have our worst fears realised and it may be even more horrible than our worst thoughts.

I really, really do not wish that on Kate and Gerry McCann. I really don't.

deepwatersolo · 08/06/2020 21:29

That‘s interesting. For in a 4 hour old German article he is cited as saying (My translation, word by word): ‚There is no definitive evidence of MM being dead or alive.‘
He clearly phrased it as no definitive evidence one way or the other.
Hm.

deepwatersolo · 08/06/2020 21:32

And it is Wolters who said that according to ‚Sueddeutsche‘ which is one of the German quality papers.

WornDownTired · 08/06/2020 21:45

I can't remember where I read it, but a few days ago I read that the German police give a missing child case a limited time and then presume they are dead and move it to a murder investigation. This could be what we are seeing in translation.

The McCanns, their PR and in turn our police, to cooperate with the McCanns, will never take any other stance than to say they believe she is still alive, unless otherwise confirmed. Once they say anything different, the campaign to find her will stall and people will no longer look for her. It is very important for their campaign to keep its high profile whilst there is a slight chance she is alive.

BertieBotts · 08/06/2020 21:48

I don't know what the details of that rehab centre was exactly, but I live in Germany and it's fairly common here for health insurance to pay for people to go off on what they call "Kur" which could be translated as retreat or rehabilitation. It's also unusual for older children to be adopted, usually long term foster care or children's homes are the norm, and it's not uncommon for children who have had traumatic or neglectful starts to have problems in their teens, like drug abuse or trouble with the police. I wonder if it was postured as something like that for troubled teens - get them away from a local environment where they would be in touch with bad influence friends and drug dealers etc?

But if that was the case, then there would have been a paper trail, social workers authorising the trip, health insurance or some sort of charitable fund paying for it. So it's likely that the German police have already followed that up and contacted any of those girls who can still be found. I doubt they would just be waiting around for them to come forwards or they would have actively said if you have anything to do with this home for teenage girls we want to hear from you.

deepwatersolo · 08/06/2020 21:50

But at the same time the German investigators ‚are convinced‘ MM is dead, papers write.

I really think it boils down to the conversations and chats CB had with witnesses. From what was said in those convos, investigators conclude he killed MM.
I hope they get the evidence they need to incarcerate this lowlife for good.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 08/06/2020 21:57

I'm sorry that they had too but I'm so pleased that the campaign to find Madeleine never stopped, that the McCanns were in a position to use all their contacts & for those contacts to call in favours so they could keep the campaign going.
For if they had not been in the position to do this then those evil scumbags out there would just carry on doing what they're doing & how many more children would have been abused.
I truly hope that the German police get all the evidence they need to stop these evil bastards.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 08/06/2020 22:02

It's looking more & more like poor Madeleine isn't here with us anymore (can't bear to say the d word) but I hope & pray that there is a tiny tiny chance that maybe just maybe that Madeleine is still alive.
High unlikely I know & a minuscule chance but not entirely impossible.

Zug2 · 08/06/2020 22:05

This is what Sky news are reporting ........

Mr Wolters believes there are other British victims of sex attacks and has urged them to contact police.

He told Sky News: "After all the information we got, the girl is dead. We have no information that she is alive"All indications we have got that I can't tell you points in the direction that Madeleine is dead.

"We got things we cannot communicate that speak for the theory that Madeleine is dead, even if I have to admit that we don't have the body."

Blackbear19 · 08/06/2020 22:24

I know that this is going to sound wrong. I hope that she is dead and in a better place. The thought of her suffering for 13 long years at the hands of paedophiles fills me with horror.

itsgettingweird · 08/06/2020 22:25

Just watching the documentary on Netflix again. I'm sure when I watched it before they discussed a peadophike ring and showed a man went wrong someone's house and being stopped from abducting the child?

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 08/06/2020 22:25

but I hope & pray that there is a tiny tiny chance that maybe just maybe that Madeleine is still alive.

Why? Just why? Best case scenario she's been adopted by a lovely couple and had a great childhood and now all that is going to come tumbling down, with unimaginable pain and trauma.

Worst case? She's had years of abuse, being trafficked, used and god knows what else?

Swiftsseason · 08/06/2020 22:35

This is so disturbing. They know she is dead but no body.
I can't help but think it's on a film.
They are desperate arnt they.
Desperate to get him now, before release.

Someone please please please speak!.
His Albania gf has gone to ground.
Please some one.... Speak
