From the very end of that very long Mail piece - I waded all the way through it, & most of it is a hotch-potch of already widely reported stuff, but these stories from Bild are new to me.
Circumstantial, yes, but it all adds up.

I think the VW spotted in Spain had GERMAN numberplates

Whilst it’s been reported that the suspect’s VW has PORTUGESE numberplates.

So, unless he changed the numberplates and changed them back again that summer when he was living back in Portugal (helping with the “Rehabilitation Programme” Hmm) it’s possible that this was just a sighting of a German tourist with his daughter.

I really strongly doubt B would brazenly take the most sought after child in the world out for meal in Spain three weeks after her disappearance.

All the same, that particular sighting did warrant investigation and it’s horrendous how all of these missing children were failed.

There are other sightings which needed further investigation too, unless they have been and information was not released to the public.

One being the four year old English child in a shop in Amsterdam with a Portuguese speaking man and an English speaking woman shortly after the abduction who told the staff member her name was “Maddie” and “This lady isn’t my Mummy. She’s a stranger. They took me from my holiday”.

Another being the Manchester based Barrister who was afraid to compromise himself but was badly shaken in 2013 after being told in detail of an acquaintance meeting Madeleine at a party in the Mediterranean in 2013. He was so disturbed by what he had been told he said he couldn’t live with himself if he didn’t notify police.

I mentioned in the last thread that CB returned to Germany with a large amount of cash and posters said this was likely to be stolen in hotels. It was a LARGE sum of money, enough for him to buy a house.

Why did he have wigs, “exotic” clothing, children’s clothing? He filmed at least three of his crimes and multiple witnesses have seen them. The police have explicitly asked for anyone who has seen the beam in his farmhouse to come forward. Why? Surely because they want details of other films that exist? The beam was used in videos of the rapes of two women/ one possibly a girl of 15.

I think there’s a distinct possibility that he was making videos to order which would explain the ages (from pensioner to child). The “rehabilitation programme” he was involved with sounds a hell of a lot like trafficking. At his kiosk business in Germany, the local school caretaker has come forward to say CB kept bags full of toys to give away as gifts to local children and boys and girls as young as 9 were regularly invited behind the counter.

He’s got past convictions for everything from burglary, to fraud to making and supplying drugs, to making images of child abuse. What do you think the odds are that he would say no to being involved in sex trafficking and abducting children to order? Especially when large amounts of cash would be involved? He’s admitted to “snatching” Madeleine, not killing her, although allegedly he has claimed she was “dead and that’s that” when people brought her up to him.

The police are clearly looking for other people in this. I doubt he is the only person involved in Madeleine’s disappearance. The more I find out about the case and the kind of twisted perverts that roam the earth the less I want to know. I’ve found it awfully upsetting and can’t imagine how the families of missing children must feel and the hell they go through.

On the subject, please if you have time take a look at the Interpol website which helps to identify people involved in the sexual abuse of children and paedophile rings. There are no images of the children or the abuse, just clothing and household objects which if identified could help track down these poor little kids and the monsters they are in the hands of.

NameChange84 · 07/06/2020 10:37

Sorry, cross posted some information there with @GiantKitten

Blackbear19 · 07/06/2020 10:53

The more you read about B the more dangerous he sounds. And that only the info they are prepared to release to the public.
They must have much more information on him that they are keeping quiet.

Arewedone · 07/06/2020 11:06

Diogo Silva has been ruled out according to Portuguese press.
If the new story and timeline regarding the girl in Foral is correct & B spent that summer living in his campervan with her family then he no longer had MM if he was the person that abducted her.

Swiftsseason · 07/06/2020 11:06

Oh lord! The Amsterdam sighting! Its all 🎭 most frustrating, mess.

I've had my own personal experience with a lack of initiative, a lack of searching for evidence myself and the local police.
Walking into a crime scene and believing what initially told, not even contacting the family!

Person was vulnerable.
Passive, stupid.

I don't know what the answer is but there is no accountability, no follow up.
It seems we are on our own to fend for ourselves. All that time wasted on mm.

One hair on the bedding... But that was washed!

Such a shame.
And then adding in woefully inadequate local police with even more patchy link up from other countries....

This is why sex trafficking, slave trafficking etc has flourished under the eu... It's been boom time for these bastards and nothing at all in place to deal with these negative issues of open borders.

All these poor people collateral damage. Disgusting!!

Swiftsseason · 07/06/2020 11:12

Then the whole epstein web...

Aposterhasnoname · 07/06/2020 11:14

He’s admitted to “snatching” Madeleine, not killing her,

Hang on, have I missed something? Where’s that come from?

NeverTalksToStrangers · 07/06/2020 11:19

A PP said something about not knowing about international cases etc and MM being well known in Europe because she had been abducted on holiday. I was on honeymoon in New York in Sept 2007 and remember seeing headlines relating to her there.

The evidence is definitely stacking up around this scumbag, but you have to wonder how he managed to slip through the net initially. If he is the culprit then the Portuguese police have a lot of answer for. Complete balls up from start to finish. Suspiciously bad.

AlternativePerspective · 07/06/2020 11:19

He’s admitted to “snatching” Madeleine, not killing her, no he hasn’t. He hasn’t admitted anything. This is precisely why he is being named as a suspect

SirVixofVixHall · 07/06/2020 11:20

I don’t understand what happened when the police investigated him regarding the missing little girl, Inga, and found images of child abuse, and children’s clothing . Was he imprisoned then for the images ? Was the clothing DNA tested or investigated?
Horrifying theory from pp regarding videos. I am also pondering the wigs and “exotic” clothing, what do they mean by that ?
Whole thing so unbearably tragic.

Arewedone · 07/06/2020 11:27

@SirVixofVixHall my understanding he was flagged as his car had a small accident within the area and why he was investigated. I think I read something that he had a tenuous link to the camp. At the box factory he owned they found child porn images and children’s clothes but nothing directly related so he was charged with porn.

Smallsteps88 · 07/06/2020 11:29

Diogo Silva has been ruled out according to Portuguese press.

Tbh- I’ll only believe that when I hear it from the German police.

B spent that summer living in his campervan with her family then he no longer had MM if he was the person that abducted her.

If he had her he’ll have gotten rid of her very quickly. Either passed on to someone else as planned or the alternative.

The Yorkshire ripper spent years murdering and it was only after they pieced together his movements that a centralised police system came in to place.

For all the technology and systems we have, this case has shown the holes and flaws and I don’t think they will ever have enough to convict him unless more people talk.

The police also ignored the victims who survived who said he had a Yorkshire accent, refered to some of the victims as 'innocent' ie not prostitutes.

They got hung up on the 'Wearside Jack' letters and tape. They had all the information they needed.

BertieBotts · 07/06/2020 11:50

The more that comes out about this it really sounds like the coordination between foreign police needs streamlining. :(

Arewedone · 07/06/2020 11:51

@Smallsteps88 yes agree no reason why DS dropped so suddenly especially as Portuguese press have recently added that an ocean club employee was informing B about McCanns movements.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 07/06/2020 11:52

I really hope this leads to actually something rather then potential evidence building up but not enough to lead to anything further.

The not knowing must be unbearable especially after all this years and having possible leads and sightings go nowhere.

BeyondDreamsOfBeyondFourWalls · 07/06/2020 11:52

SirVix, what I don't understand is how apparently four weeks after going missing and after searching his place, they just shut the case. Wtf? Thirteen years later and (obv yes it's a different country but still) the MM case is still open. Why was hers shut?

BeyondDreamsOfBeyondFourWalls · 07/06/2020 11:53

Aren't Interpol meant to do precisely that?

Blackbear19 · 07/06/2020 12:00

Small steps, I'm with you, the Portuguese might have ruled him out but that might be the reason the German police have released his phone number.

DigOutThoseLemonHandWipes · 07/06/2020 12:08

Why didn't the woman in the Dutch shop lock the doors (with the "family" in the shop) and call the police?

SirVixofVixHall · 07/06/2020 12:16

BeyondDream yes, why was it closed ? That bothered me too. It is bizarre.

NameChange84 · 07/06/2020 12:26

@DigOutThoseLemonHandWipes

Apparently the woman in the shop had not heard of Madeleine McCann. It was only when she saw it on the news along with Maddie’s image that she immediately notified Police.

@Aposterhasnoname and @AlternativePerspective

I’m going by the widely publicised facts which led to CB’s arrest for rape. Namely that he was in a bar with an acquaintance when a newsflash about the 10th anniversary of Madeleine’s appearance came on, he drunkenly boasted to the acquaintance that he knew what had happened to her, said he “snatched her” going into detail about how then told him about the rape of the pensioner and went on to show the acquaintance footage of the rape of the pensioner. These facts, along with DNA evidence (a hair of his in her bed) led to his conviction for rape which he is currently appealing. The fact Madeleine’s abduction along with his own involvement was mentioned by CB in a conversation leading to one about a crime he could be convicted of through evidence adds more weight to his boasting about involvement with Madeleine’s disappearance. He is apparently not admitting anything currently to police and is refusing to cooperate.

BertieBotts · 07/06/2020 12:28

Dig, she said later that because the child seemed to be with the family and not protesting that she assumed they were a real family, despite her alarm at what the little girl said. Also if she was alone in the shop she might not have wanted to trap a potentially violent man in with her! You would expect the police to have followed up really.
