Hi Grin

DominaShantotto · 02/06/2020 18:59

Greetings - marking my place while DD does her Cubs meeting on Zoom.
I am so fecking sick of Zoom shit.

Actually the best thing about the kids being back at school is that I actually get some interaction in the interminable queues to collect them.

Hollyhead · 02/06/2020 19:01

Does anyone want an ‘ant dementor’ statistic?

Littlebelina · 02/06/2020 19:04

Checking in! Glad to report the hazard tape has been torn off our basketball court already(less than 24hr)

DrearyWallAntler · 02/06/2020 19:04

Zombie shambling to victory

BarkandCheese · 02/06/2020 19:05

My DD is on a zoom dance lesson. I’m not exactly sure I miss the pick ups and drop offs but I miss the routine of doing it if that makes sense.

I’m intrigued by the ant dementor statistic.

Checking in Smile

I love zombie beach Grin

Hollyhead · 02/06/2020 19:07

I’m going to give you the anti dementor statistic anyway. There were 1613 new cases today. There are 49000 towns, villages & cities in the U.K. that means that even if the cases were spread out with just 1 in a settlement (which they’re not as most cluster in families or care homes) just 3% of settlements would have had a new case.

Cheered me right up that one Smile

Shodan · 02/06/2020 19:07

Checking before I get too drunk later Grin

Shodan · 02/06/2020 19:08

FFS.

Not even had one drink yet and still didn't get that post right Grin Grin

Bollss · 02/06/2020 19:09

@Hollyhead excellent fact!

LivinLaVidaLoki · 02/06/2020 19:13

Must need a high factor SPF on a zombie beach....
Love the new thread title.

BarkandCheese · 02/06/2020 19:13

Funnily enough my area is one with a new case. Someone who lives less than a mile from me posted on Nextdoor that their husband who works in a care home just tested positive. I read that, wondered if I should worry then decided probably not. Even if it was my neighbour unless I’d been in prolonged close contact with them the chances of me getting it are still tiny.

Great fact! Can happily report that the North Yorkshire beach I spent the day on was dementor free. Lots of happy people. No-one in masks or screeching "two metres!" as they passed. Lots of space for everyone.

Frankly, I'm more at risk of sun cancer, having been an idiot and let myself burn, than I am of Covid after today.

Drivingdownthe101 · 02/06/2020 19:14

Checking in for anti dementor business.

KaronAVyrus · 02/06/2020 19:14

Couldn’t be arsed murdering anyone today. Sorted out the cupboard under the stairs (yes, I’m that bored)

LivinLaVidaLoki · 02/06/2020 19:14

That's a great fact @Hollyhead

Me too Blush

RubberDinghyRapids · 02/06/2020 19:26

Sloping in for duty. Knackered from work and have hayfever AND thrush. For fucks sake. Angry

I'm just so exhausted of it all now.

TheAdventuresoftheWishingChair · 02/06/2020 19:29

That is such a great fact!

I am feeling brighter today. It's so lovely when things are a bit easier. I've sunbathed in the garden and done some baking.

HighdosevitaminD · 02/06/2020 19:29

I'm planning to break the law and travel from Scotland to England to see my parents and - stay in their house!!! My trump card, I'm in the covid vaccine trial and will be swabbed every week for the next month, so I'll know if I don't have it (despite the test being pretty shit...)

TheAdventuresoftheWishingChair · 02/06/2020 19:30

Oh no. You win the worst day award. I hope tomorrow is easier.

justasking111 · 02/06/2020 19:31

For all the hayfever sufferers days of rain forecast now which will be a relief a lot cooler too.

Seeing the weather forecast and thinking we have had two months of glorious weather I actually foretold of a hosepipe ban a few weeks ago. The dementors will have their little darlings cooped up in the house again, that may concentrate their minds wonderfully Grin

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 02/06/2020 19:36

Love the zombie beach. Are the zombies 2m apart? Are they wearing masks? Don’t want them to give me covid while they eat my brains.

BlackberryViolet · 02/06/2020 19:37

Just checking in. On the way back from shopping tonight noticed our lovely new road signs fixed to lampposts - red with white letting “Covid 19 maintain social distancing“. I would have stopped to get a picture but at that point the road is 4 lanes each direction and no footpaths or hard shoulder. Possibly cars should maintain social distancing now? Or do we need constant reminding?
