Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

It's a while since we had Indian food so I'm frying some puris, there are chapatis on the table along with salted yoghurt and chutneys.

Morning @sashh.. what an excellent idea! I'm up for that. Do have to work today though so will take a good supply of Tictacs in!

Lovely, we didn't have a bad night... although 3-4am seems to be his awake time for some reason.

Just popping in today as we have a busy day- all 3 cats vaccinations.

Happy to hand baby over for a cup of tea hands free.

Do you want English or Indian tea? The indian is in the pan with cardomon and sterilised milk.

Samosas and paneer rolls are in the fryer, help yourself to a puri or two.

@Pink Yes I am staying with relatives, probably for the next year until I'm finished college. House clearance is happening, a skip arrived today and I smashed loads of stuff with a hammer Yep, spent the day doing the house with him. It was fine, only had one moment where I wanted to kill him. Hating him is actually too much energy if that makes sense? Quite happy to work with him to get it all sorted and make little digs at his expense and watch him squirm 😂

Morning all, after yesterday's pizza I thin something a little healthier is in order so smoothies (yes you can have ice cream in them), fruit and veg juice. The guava and carrot is quite sweet and as usual I'm adding a little ginger to the orange juice.

I am doing Early Childhood Care and Education. I'm only on the lowest level of qualifications so will have a few more years ahead of me before I have my degree but this one will secure me a place in a crèche with better money than I'm on now 🙈 I am doing the course part time and reduced my working hours because there's lots of work placement needed and only did that because ex agreed to support me etc. Not sure if I would have made that decision for myself if I'd have known how I'd be ending up.

Wow @NoGravyForYou I used to teach health and social care so I covered some childcare classes.

Is it a BTEC you are doing? If so then you can (they don't like it but it's in the rules) use paid work for your work placement and use just the one place. That's at Level 3 but I think it applies earlier in the levels.

Some of my HSC might be useful to you, things like th communication units. Let me know if I can help.

Oh and I have a PGCE and DTTLS so I might have something useful from that.

I'm not in the UK so I don't think the rules about work placement work over here, basically used as unpaid labour in the crèches tbh! Thanks so much @sashh , I have my communications module done already and have 3 assignments left to hand up and I'm done for this academic year and then back in September.

BTW I have installed 'mini climate' in the garden so you can select sunshine / rain / temp settings. Try it if you fancy a BBQ.
