Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

I'll tell you if you can stand the excitement...I've not been well and place degenerated into a shit tip, I did a fair amount yesterday so I wouldn't be embarrassed if anyone walked in now, and just more cleaning/tidying today. Walk to the seafront later.

How's study going?

sashh · 30/05/2020 06:23

Well I'm on herre instead of with my nose in a book, but I'm going through past papers and it seems to be sticking.

Well done, keep plugging away!

BooseysMom · 30/05/2020 07:07

Morning @sashh,
Sorry to hear of your water situation.
My day started by herding the local Jacob sheep out of our close as they do love wandering from the common and munching their way through our wildflower area!
It's been ages since i found time to pop by so it's good to see you. please can i just have a coffee and toast when you have a mo. Thanks x

sashh · 30/05/2020 07:28

@Boosey Where do you live that sheep wander the streets?

Thanks @sashh 😊
It's a small (but growing) village in the Midlands. Hobbiton in the Shire to be precise Grin

Morning all! Yoghurt and fruit sounds very refreshing, I’ll have a sprinkle of granola on the top too.
Oh no, no water?! Hopefully it’ll get sorted today 🤞🏻

sashh · 30/05/2020 08:48

Someone came round and left water on the doorstep, I've just watched one of my neighbours pinch a pack from another door. It's OK the lady who lives there has gone to stay with family for C19 (she's 90+).

Water is on but the pressure is dodgy.

Morning, how is the water? Is there enough for a tea? Baby was doing so well but think he's been over stimulated seeing people in the park while enjoying the sun. He's really not having a good night.

sashh · 31/05/2020 04:58

Morning, yes the water is fine, do you want to hand the baby over and have a rest?

IRL I wike to a power cut and no water, but all OK now. My carer came round yesterday and we were discussing the end of the world.

Just before lockdown a pigeon just dropped from the sky, sid down the shed roof and on to the floor. The cat was quite excited.

Either the cat can psychicly kill birds or it is THE END, as in so many horror films or dystopian TV things start with birds falling from the sky.

Handing baby over and sitting in sun with tea.....

I hate water cuts where I live but thankfully we haven't had one in a while.... we did have a day without water once in summer and there wasn't enough water for everyone so we ended up going to the shops to buy some.

Power cuts are easier to deal with, we had loads the first year.... thankfully we have a gas hob so can still cook and make tea 😂

We haven't had any birds falling out of the sky- the cats would love that- and thinking about it I've had no gifts for a while- living in the country I get a lot of vole gifts in a week... maybe something is up?

Morning @sashh 👋🏻 Sounds like you’re already starting with a challenging day, hopefully you’ll get the water and power sorted today.
I’ve got to do the dreaded food shop today, not looking forward to that! I’ll have a coffee please to try motivate me!

sashh · 31/05/2020 09:31

IRL I keep getting Iceland to deliver, they always seem to have slots. I'm not in the best health, I'm not of the shielding list but I'm not taking any chances so I have not been in a shop since lockdown.

OP posts:
PinkDaydreams · 31/05/2020 09:58

I don’t blame you. I used to go to the supermarket every other day before lockdown as I hate doing a big shop. Big shop now to minimize visits and I hate it, I try my best to adhere to the 2m rule, clean the handle of my trolley on entering and generally be as quick as I can. I get frustrated by the customers who insist on standing too close, I feel really anxious doing a food shop now.

sashh · 31/05/2020 11:17

I'm really annoyed at Tesco, I've been shopping online with them since you could, in the days when I was aked, "Do you shop online?" by a uni friend who thought I was some sort of IT nerd.

|They are allowing people to make multiple bookings. Iceland is great for delivery but the range is much smaller and it's mainly branded goods (the non frozen ones).

crazycatlady7 · 31/05/2020 19:58

I've been lucky and managing to get click and collect at Tesco's. And our local shop is great with mini top ups. Got a fruit and veg box fortnightly delivered, the baker is our neighbour so get bread from him weekly and the butchers is delivering so do a months shop from him. I don't want to be put unless I need to be, I'm not keen to be ill with a baby who's up in the night still.... and DH is currently unemployed so it's been easy to avoid shops.

sashh · 01/06/2020 04:04

Morning all.

We have not had pancakes for a while so here we go, crapes, american, scotch, any other type.

With sweet and savory fillings / acompanyments.

Frownette · 01/06/2020 04:13

Cheese crêpe would be nice, with a coffee

Any pancakes left?

Sorry I've not been here the last few days, going through a break up and haven't felt like socialising with people irl or here. Feeling better today and ready to start the rest of my life even though it's scary as shit.

PinkDaydreams · 01/06/2020 15:57

@NoGravyForYou so sorry you’re going through a break up, it’s never easy but this lockdown must be making it harder for you. FlowersFlowers
