Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

I've lived most of my life alone, I actually find it difficult to have too many people around, I talk to he cat and to people on here.

Ooooo porridge is perfect on this rather very blustery morning. Can I just have mine with sugar please, not too thick.

I have never tried plantain , what's it like ?

Plantain takes me back to being on holiday in Jamaica! I think I’ll have a pina coloda please so I can daydream that I’m on the glorious sunny beach rather than stuck indoors because of the storm!!

Hmm I am not keen on banana so I will give them a miss.
IRL I had marmite on toast for my early breakfast ( 4am ) and now I am on very thick yoghurt and frozen berry mix.

Wow, I thought everybody would have at least had plantain once, I must look up some more Caribbean food, unless you fancy salt fish and akee for breakfast.

Well I'm hoping to go back to bed and get some sleep so Florence and I will set out a Smörgåsbord or bacon, sausages, toast etc, and I suppose that must include marmite for @AlCalavicci

Got my college results back from the module from during the break up, passed it and with a far far better grade than I was expecting so I'm delighted with myself 🙌🎉

I shall be opening up the bar and making some cocktails; starting with frozen strawberry daiquiris.
Will take request!

I do quite fancy a daiquiri now but although I'm in a city I don't feel like running around getting ingredients.Tomorrow perhaps. So white rum, lime, sugar, ice.

There’s also caipirinha which is similar and also very tasty! I drank lots of both on a holiday to Mexico, there was a specific barman that would make them absolutely delicious!

I decided to hire a barman who is easy on the eyes for special occasions, everyone meet.... Fernando! He can make any cocktail under the sun!

@Frownette thanks so much! Yes life does very much seem to on the up since the breakup. It's true when people say you glow differently when you're actually happy!
