It's the Tuesday numbers leap of doom for the dark forces today - happens every week but they'll be crowing over the increase in deaths from the reporting lag.

Pinkflipflop85 · 19/05/2020 17:08

I've taken to walking backwards down the aisles!

Mind you....I have a very specific way that I like to walk round my supermarket and the one way arrows are WRONG. last time I went I stuck to my usual route, so that has probably killed off a few more locals.

KaronAVyrus · 19/05/2020 17:08

Aw jealous you f your killing spree in Crete this August. Crete is my spiritual homeland.

Springersrock · 19/05/2020 17:10

We’ve got a holiday booked the end of August in France with some friends.

I’m holding out hope that we can go by then, it seemed promising the other day when they were discussing travel to France without quarantining but then they changed their mind

I’m also perfectly happy to just chill in the villa, we have a pool, we’re driving there so can fill the car with food and drink before we go

HairyFloppins · 19/05/2020 17:11

I'm hoping for the USA in August. They are just as murderous there so I will fit right in.

Mascotte · 19/05/2020 17:13

Ooh! Holidays! Frankly. If I'm allowed out of Brigadoom I'll go anywhere!!

Pertella · 19/05/2020 17:17

We've got Spain booked for August - hopefully we will get to go but am considering changing for Greece if they are 'open'

Cattermole · 19/05/2020 17:18

Ha! I've been on a killing spree with my precious little disease vector today and we bought DINOSAURS and UNDERPANTS (for DH) and FIZZY LEMONADE SOAP.
All of which are non essential and murderous.
cue James Brown voice I feel good....

SummerHouse · 19/05/2020 17:25

I am thinking of taking all my shopping back to the shop and replacing on the shelves whist walking backwards? Hell I might just stick on a mask back to front to complete the mission. Too murdery?

Tonii1985 · 19/05/2020 17:29

I'd love a UK weekend away this summer. A hotel, a bar, a restaurant. A nice local town centre. I wonder if it'll happen...

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 19/05/2020 17:31

Checking in, 4th visit to shops in three days now. Bugger all else to do. I don’t know how people are saving money.

Drivingdownthe101 · 19/05/2020 17:32

God me either NaturalBlondeYeahRight. Buying so much shit to relieve the boredom!!

AgentCooper · 19/05/2020 17:34

I would love a Loch side picnic! The beach at Luss on Loch Lomond is a cracking picnic spot.

Me and DS sat on a bench today and I received a pair of highly inessential wide leg high waisted jeans from And Other Stories in the post.

TheGreatWave · 19/05/2020 17:46

I have spent so much money, it is unreal. Big ticket items like a shed as well

There seem to be a lot of fellow Scots among us!
I desperately want to get back on the road in my campervan and go somewhere hot.

KaronAVyrus · 19/05/2020 17:49

I’m so very bored. Same old crappy walks - just want to go about a bit further a field. (And yes, also Scottish).

Drivingdownthe101 · 19/05/2020 17:56

TheGreatWave I’ve bought a trampoline, a chavvy sex pond (hot tub Wink), a new bed, bedside tables and dressing table! Single handedly trying to keep the economy going, me.

Dowser · 19/05/2020 17:56

At the park . Wow it’s hot.
Can’t believe it.
Three people in masks
Why?
It’s all over now👍

MinesaPinot · 19/05/2020 17:56

Hello again! Lazing on a sunlounger after being chained to PC indoors working all day.

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 19/05/2020 17:59

I went murdering at the garden centre this afternoon, with dd, who, as a year 1 germ ridden super spreading disaster with no self control, somehow managed to stay away from others and not lick people / plants / objects. Or wipe her bogies on things. Shocking but true.

Have a load of lovely bedding plants and two new hanging baskets. Death count probably 5 grannies.

GeraltOfRivia · 19/05/2020 18:02

I've had a good day overall. The DD8 made an apple crumble without my input (other than tidying up after). I ordered a new mattress for my DH after my moaning about our old one won financial negotiations. And I made a lovely gift for a friend managing to insert a zip for the first time ever.

I also cried a lot. All that positive stuff and I'm still not coping that well. I want to be able to drive sown south and see my mum and the in laws. I'm gutted we're not getting a holiday. I'm just fed up of social media. And I'm tired. So very tired.

Dowser · 19/05/2020 18:04

Sat in a park and I kid you not there’s a kid screaming.
I’m going to send dh over to have a word with it’s parents lol
Something along the lines of
‘ if it doesn’t know how to behave, can you please put it into lockdown until it does.
That’ll fettle it’

What do you think?
Does it sound a bit heavy handed?
Do you think he should remove the please ? 😂😂😱

Dowser · 19/05/2020 18:08

I had a good sob today
Sick of this bloody toothache
It’s stopping me driving all over the three counties

GeraltOfRivia · 19/05/2020 18:12

Oh dowser. Have you spoken to the dentist. I had horrible toothache a couple of weeks ago and they gave me meds over the phone. I had to call when I was two mins away and pick up the prescription from underneath a rock outside the surgery. Ever so clandestine.

Dowser · 19/05/2020 18:13

From a friend in Spain who is very much into keeping healthy and fit
( have you all gone out btw)

I've just heard the news that the government in Spain is making the wearing of facemasks mandatory in public places. This is awful news. Masks lower blood oxygen levels due to re breathing higher levels of the carbon dioxide that we exhale. I read a post claiming two Chinese boys had died doing high intensity excercise wearing masks. Personally I can believe it although I hope it's not true of course but I can't verify the truth of the post. I did a simple experiment today: I used a pulse oximeter to measure the oxygen saturation of my blood. Before the mask it was it's usual 98%. After just 10 minutes of mask wearing a second testing showed an alarming drop to 91%. This is an alarming drop. Below 90% there is significant reduction in the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood.
