The thing is if you say to kids "Don't lick each other' or "don't run" they hear "lick each other" or "run"..must better to not give them the idea in the first place Grin..or say e.g. 'walk'

LilacTree1 · 19/05/2020 16:11

Domina so when you say you had visitors, you just mean police in your area?

They’ve been everywhere here every day.

Dowser · 19/05/2020 16:12

Lilac tree.
I was just responding to your post, when my daughter arrived as she knew I was feeling upset
We’ve had a lovely three hours natter and a bit of lunch.
You do whatever you need to do to keep fit and physically and mentally well.
My daughter who is 100 times more intelligent than me, thinks it’s all going to collapse pretty shortly
I pray she’s right
Already people are breaking out.
I desperately hope so
I need an osteopath..was due to see mine..two days into lockdown.

Drivingdownthe101 · 19/05/2020 16:12

We live in a large ish village in the sticks... haven’t seen a policeman here in the 3.5 years we’ve lived here!

LilacTree1 · 19/05/2020 16:12

I love hedgehogs, why would a hedgehog post be deleted?

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 19/05/2020 16:13

Ah lovely, a new thread.

DominaShantotto · 19/05/2020 16:13

Police in the area lilac - the visitor I mentioned was the dementor who dropped in on the last thread and started behaving like an utter doughnut (of the disappointing supermarket variety - not nice and krispy kreme)

LilacTree1 · 19/05/2020 16:13

Thank you Dowser

I’ve been to the nature reserve via bus

They’ve stopped playing “don’t travel unless is essential” on a loop.

LilacTree1 · 19/05/2020 16:15

Domina oh I see, thanks.

Must be a teen troll, anyone with a brain can see children will notice a difference in their lives.

TitianaTitsling · 19/05/2020 16:17

@LilacTree1 the hedgehog in question

👋🏻 all

2nd day back at work today. I feel so much better for just being out of the house - and being able to get dressed in nice clothes, do my hair, put make up on.

I got my teens out of the house today as well. DD1 is working for DH this week, and I took DD2 up our yard this morning to meet a friend and mess with ponies all day. Hopefully it will do them both the world of good.

I also live in fear of messing up the one way system in Asda, although no one seems to follow it anyway. I had to walk backwards when I forgot milk the other day.

I got trapped in the plant section of B&Q yesterday, I all the years I’ve been going there, I’ve never noticed there was 2 entrances for it 🤦‍♀️ Full blown panic that I was never going to get out of B&Q’s garden centre until DH came and rescued me

roxfox · 19/05/2020 16:19

I'm going for a second picnic this week with my mum tomorrow. She lives alone and gets to cuddle our 12 week old which does wonders for her wellbeing. And for my little baby who I honestly believe needs to see other humans than just me and DH!!!!

countrygirl99 · 19/05/2020 16:24

DS1 met up with his girlfriend and she had baked us a delicious carrot cake. No doubt, having travelled from another town, it was full of virus and we will all be in intensive care within a week. It was worth it🍰 light and fluffy with the topping not over sweet.
I popped out to the garden centre in my lunch break. It was as stripped bare as the supermarkets back in March so there will be courgette plants in the big pots on the patio.
I'm lucky where I live and can go for lovely walks and rides but I'm desperate for a change of scenery, I just can't decide where to go so I'm busy trying to plan a trip to Finland next March. Still hoping to get over there November or December too.

MrsWombat · 19/05/2020 16:25

Marking my place on the way back from stealing collection slots from grannies at the local Tesco distribution centre.

Mascotte · 19/05/2020 16:29

In my absence, have things been deleted fir being magic? 😃

fartingsparkles · 19/05/2020 16:34

Afternoon all, nice to have a shiny new thread after the last one went bit gaga. Just made me remember my late mum (who was definitely of a dementory persuasion) who called the yellow sticker stuff at supermarkets 'whoopsys' :)

DominaShantotto · 19/05/2020 16:35

On the BBC just now... "the death toll continues to rise"

It's a cumulative total - they DO that!

Willitneverend · 19/05/2020 16:37

I just saw the dementor story on the BBC website about how the R rate in Bradford has either increased because of people fighting or hugging each other after VE parties (either sounds great here at this stage of our extended lockdown) or Eid. Because any fun activities are lethal.

TitianaTitsling · 19/05/2020 16:37

Yes masc the patroneus pics!

Drivingdownthe101 · 19/05/2020 16:37

DominaShantotto yeah I keep wondering how they plan to make people less dead!

TheGreatWave · 19/05/2020 16:38

orange I am sat here trying to work out how to spin "Don't lick each other" positively.

DominaShantotto · 19/05/2020 16:38

Outcry on one of the local groups - people spotted children had got onto a play area that isn't fenced around the edge of it. The doom mongers are salivating (after checking the surface was sanitised) at the chance for a good judge and finger point.

I worry about repetitive strain from all the finger pointing.

Mascotte · 19/05/2020 16:40

Heehee

Mascotte · 19/05/2020 16:41

I also saw the BBC reporting a massive rise in people claiming benefits. My those journos are sharp.

BroomHandledMouser · 19/05/2020 16:42

@fartingsparkles I love that! Grin
