I can't handle this extra responsibility. I'm still getting over being taught that the little hole halfway up is where you're supposed to peg them on the line SO THEY CAN SLIDE ABOUT.

100% because of this thread I have pegged my socks out in pairs. I started off pegging as I came to them, after ignoring them for a while but that brought its own problems, and then when the matching pair became available it was strangely satisfying . I then moved pairs as it became apparent I had left too much space. I am so sorry but I currently have single socks alone on the line as I couldn't fit all the washing in in one load. Clearly a work in progress..

I have a sock basket so all socks go in there until their partner becomes washed and dry so it isn't all lost .

My mother wouldn't let me near the washing line due to this!
She creeps out after I've pegged out and arranges them in order. Also gussets have to all be in line and facing the same way. Aaaagghh

@HipTightOnions, wow... he's done a great job! I just got slightly restless about the shirts being pegged by the shoulders though...the peg mark horror potential!

Tops by the bottom and bottoms by the top is the pegging out rule!
