gosh I bet that was hard.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/04/2020 15:01

I just did an Alice In Wonderland one and at the end a piece was missing Sad

Got some Colin Thompsons to do.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/04/2020 15:02

I wouldn't do a photo one like that, absolute headwreck, I do them therapeutically not as a challenge!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 30/04/2020 15:25

Yes literally every one had done variation of grey wolf hair or green.

It was our first ever jigsaw as well!

That wolf looks difficult. I love jigsaws and, luckily, was given about 12 of them in the months before lockdown which I hadn’t got round to doing. Now on my 5th. I get lost for hours!

Cocolapew · 30/04/2020 15:39

I finished this today, last piece missing Hmm
It's my second one, I don't usually have the patience for them.

This one wasn’t too bad to do.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/04/2020 16:04

A Gibsons @Twospaniels ?

I've done a similar one that is old sweets and bars.

sueelleker · 30/04/2020 16:05

You can do jigsaws on-line; there's a website called i'm a puzzle. im-a-puzzle.com

thenewaveragebear1983 · 30/04/2020 16:10

We're doing an 80's sweets one at the moment

I borrowed a couple of 1000 piece ones from my mum not expecting the DC (older teens) to be interested but they really enjoyed it.

Apparently my mum has one that is printed on both sides ....would I be mad to consider doing that one?

AmelieTaylor · 30/04/2020 16:24

I saw a beautiful 20,000 piece one the other day. I really want to do it, but I don't have a big enough space to do it that can be dedicated to a jigsaw for weeks! 😢

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/04/2020 16:32

Yes that's the one OP

wherethewavesarehighest · 30/04/2020 16:36

I went for whatever was left in The Works jigsaw department so have now started a magical looking horse and swan one. Lots of different coloured bits which is good for me. I've seen some on ebay but they are described as mini 1000 piece puzzles, I'm slightly worried I'll end up with 1000 miniscule pieces.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 30/04/2020 17:20

Finished! That was Definitely easier than the wolf!

I’ve completed these three in recent weeks, I’ve now started another. I bought a twin pack of two 1000 piece puzzles from Amazon this week for £8.99. The only problem is that the pictures are quite small on the lid and are printed with one overlapping the other so there’s a section that you can’t see on one puzzle. It’s guesswork as to which pieces make up that corner. Still, I can’t grumble at that price and they’re fitting together nicely so don’t feel cheap.

I love the Wasgij puzzles and have about 20 of them, I'm doing them for the second time round. They usually cost 12.99 on amazon but they don't have many left now and some are being sold by other sellers at ridiculous prices.

iklboo · 30/04/2020 18:38

WOLEF!!

Sewrainbow · 30/04/2020 19:13

This is my new one, very soothing looking at the colours Smile

I've been doing the Gibson's Mike Jupp I Love jigsaws. We've done Autumn, Christmas and Spring and I've just bought Winter to do. I've got one on the go at the moment that I picked up second hand and I'm not sure what has faded but the box is not the same colours as the jigsaw and I'm not enjoying it so may just dump it. DD2 keeps helping and doing the bits I want to but I try not to complain too much as it's nice to spend some time together. We've also been doing them in the garden but the wet weather has now put paid to that.

RedRed9 · 30/04/2020 20:00

Is there such a thing as a jigsaw library? Or would anyone be interested in a jigsaw swap? I’ve done mine and I don’t want to keep spending £15.99 on them!

Although... perhaps now isn’t the best time to be swapping anything?

DobbyTheHouseElk · 30/04/2020 20:03

@tapdancingmum where did you find the mike jupp ones? We have one and I’d love to find another. I love the details.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 30/04/2020 20:05

@RedRed9 our local charity shops always have loads of them but obviously at the moment that's not an option.
