Hello fellow plane spotters!

So I thought Trump had stopped flights to and from Europe but there still seem to be quite a few?

Second point.... anyone know why BA Airbus 319 GEUPD flew Heathrow to Bournemouth yesterday?

Sadly, emergency medical helicopters north and east of Genoa.

flossyflorenceflounces · 25/03/2020 22:18

Yes Sad over Parma ?

Flymetothetoon · 25/03/2020 22:20

You may all be interested in this thread here we've had a couple of long-running FR24 discussions and there are some really knowledgeable people on there Smile

flossyflorenceflounces · 25/03/2020 22:26

If you look at the number of planes over England in an afternoon and then over Florida (roughly the same size) the difference is shocking, it's obviously business as usual over the pond.

Twatling · 25/03/2020 22:45

Placemarking three!

Blobby10 · 26/03/2020 07:01

Still don’t understand why so many flights are still up there! Is there ever such a thing as an ‘essential’ flight unless it’s carrying medical staff/experts to a crisis?

Still flights coming into London form Toronto and lax and Tokyo and Dubai and Hong kong

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 26/03/2020 07:16

Aww

Fatfat · 26/03/2020 07:19

They’re flying the BA planes from LHR to BOH to park them up as no space at T5

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 26/03/2020 07:36

Sorry! Fat fingers not a deliberate post!

MissKittyCat · 26/03/2020 11:22

There was a small plane circling near Banbury which said it was from a skydiving centre - surely no one is sky diving today. Confused

flossyflorenceflounces · 26/03/2020 11:43

Medical (?) helicopter up near Gloucester Sad

At least if you are sky diving part of it would be consistent with self isolation.

MysteryFrog · 26/03/2020 12:29

Took this screenshot earlier, any idea what’s going on there?

There are still some people waiting to get back to their home country - flights between the UK and US are restricted to a limited number of (9?) US airports near the disease control centres.

flossyflorenceflounces · 26/03/2020 12:40

That's interesting Trentgirl, which airports is it?

playthestation · 26/03/2020 12:40

What do you mean @MysteryFrog

The helicopters are rig transport - can't check the aircraft as not current and no labels on

thelionessqueen · 26/03/2020 12:41

Does anyone what this is about?? Thanks to your thread I have become fascinated with flight radar 😳😳

I’ve found my people, hi folks

playthestation · 26/03/2020 12:43

That's an RAF tanker. Often found in the North Sea

SuntanC · 26/03/2020 12:45

Just saying hi to my fellow plane geeks! I am so happy this thread exists! Hurrah! Well done Grin

flossyflorenceflounces · 26/03/2020 12:45

Hi SuntanC

VivaLeBeaver · 26/03/2020 12:47

I'm enjoying getting back into flightradar with current situation. Seemed all cargo planes fling yesterday evening.

stopwindingeachotherup · 26/03/2020 13:01

Nothing in and out of Gatwick at all?

playthestation · 26/03/2020 13:08

Gatwick is operational. Lots of flights cancelled though. A few have departed today.
