Been geeking this morning on the number of flights having to go around

Noticed several Gatwick and Luton flights diverting to Stanstead

Check out DI7018 JFK- Gatwick

Two attempts at Gatwick, seemed to be heading for Stanstead, but now the Norwegian airlines crew seem to be taking everyone home with them!

The Azores?! Blimey, that's about 4hrs away!

But obviously the closest, most suitable airport when the emergency arose.

Flights from the east are leaving late and arriving earlier, sows what a tail wind will do.

Norwegian Air Dreamliner from LAX has just had two goes at landing at Gatwick. Looks like they are diverting now - heading south.

Poor LS842 is going in for another landing...

Big Jet is absolutely fascinating! Today reminds me of the time I flew in from Bahrain overnight on the night of the Big Storm 1987. We were told nothing of it on the plane and couldn't understand why the clouds were so black over Northern Europe. In the end we were the first 747 to land at Gatwick on the morning after the storm. It was eerie, there was literally tumbleweed in the airport corridors and there was nobody about. I remember the devastation in the countryside after leaving the airport - trees blown down all over - very sad.

That A380! Bloody hell.

@BabbleBee - YES! Those pilots are so skilled. It's gone off air now just as another 380 was coming in!

He normally only does short free live streams before they turn to ones you have to pay for, I'm guessing he kept it free for a bit longer as he had so many viewers.

How did I not know about Big Jet TV before now?! 😂😂😂my OH is appalled that I’m watching it but I find it fascinating! Hope the stream comes back on before the Dreamliner (next in line after the big one from Houston ) lands
