Been geeking this morning on the number of flights having to go around

Noticed several Gatwick and Luton flights diverting to Stanstead

Check out DI7018 JFK- Gatwick

Two attempts at Gatwick, seemed to be heading for Stanstead, but now the Norwegian airlines crew seem to be taking everyone home with them!

I'm in Ireland at the moment. OMG I can watch FR24 and listen to live air traffic control at the same time!

Hours of fun.

FR3153 Tenerife to East Mids looks as though it's turned back south of Leicester, unless it's holding for some reason. It doesn't look as though anything else is landing atm, so it might be waiting for a break in the weather?

Looks like FR3153 is heading off somewhere. There's a flight from Lanzarote in a similar holding pattern behind.

Luton must not have accepted them. That would be the first choice for an EasyJet diversion near London.

FR3153 is down at Manchester. The Lanzarote flight is diverting too by the looks of it.

Can't work ot where FR3173 is off to (the Lanzarote - East Mids flight). It's over-flying Manchester at 24,000 ft so I don't reckon it's landing there!
