Been geeking this morning on the number of flights having to go around

Noticed several Gatwick and Luton flights diverting to Stanstead

Check out DI7018 JFK- Gatwick

Two attempts at Gatwick, seemed to be heading for Stanstead, but now the Norwegian airlines crew seem to be taking everyone home with them!

Well done Dublin pilot though!

titchy · 15/02/2020 15:41

Poznan aborted Cardiff landing now!

Papyrus · 15/02/2020 15:41

Exeter’s just had a couple of flights diverted to Southampton, so I doubt anything going there.

What are the flight number to watch?

NoGravyForYou · 15/02/2020 15:43

Fr6059 is Sofia supposed to land at Bristol and is now going to cologne.

belgianpringles · 15/02/2020 15:44

There's some facility or something at Cologne isn't there? I vaguely recall years ago reading something about there being a reason why planes get diverted to Cologne? Or am I talking rubbish? most likely

NoGravyForYou · 15/02/2020 15:44

FR8217 is Poznan to Bristol flight that diverted to Cardiff and has failed there as well.

belgianpringles · 15/02/2020 15:44

Poznan is FR8217

BabbleBee · 15/02/2020 15:44

Poznan passengers must be getting a bit fed up now! I’d be wondering if the pilot was ever going to get it down...

belgianpringles · 15/02/2020 15:45

FR6059 is Sofia.

TabbyStar · 15/02/2020 15:45

Where can you see it's headed to Cologne?

NoGravyForYou · 15/02/2020 15:46

I mean at least the Poznan passengers might land in the UK, can't say the same for the people on the Sofia flight.

Thunderpunt · 15/02/2020 15:46

I'd be wondering if the Poznan pilot was on a YTS scheme....

belgianpringles · 15/02/2020 15:46

Babble at least they are going into Cardiff instead of Cologne! I'd be mightily fed up with that long on any Ryanair flight - at least the last time mine was delayed was with Emirates.

BabbleBee · 15/02/2020 15:47

YTS pilot Grin

belgianpringles · 15/02/2020 15:47

I wonder where SI506 from Jersey is heading - no destination is on FR.

NoGravyForYou · 15/02/2020 15:47

Liverpool flight failed to land in Bristol as well.

belgianpringles · 15/02/2020 15:48

Better YTS than a week work experience from the local high school!

TabbyStar · 15/02/2020 15:48

Thunder Grin It must be horrible to be on that Poznan flight. I was on one that was having trouble at Gatwick once because of a storm, which was unpleasant enough, but at least it was only the one airport.

BabbleBee · 15/02/2020 15:49

I’ve got the Liverpool flight landed

NoGravyForYou · 15/02/2020 15:49

My app has updated it as landed now 🙈🙈🙈

belgianpringles · 15/02/2020 15:50

Years ago we circled over London as we couldn't land at Heathrow (?), we were getting worryingly low, I don't think it'd be allowed now - this was some 40 years ago.

Gluetap · 15/02/2020 15:50

Where’s Poznan off to now?

TabbyStar · 15/02/2020 15:50

Yeah Liverpool landed. Sometimes they look as though they've gone past then spring back like they're on a bungee!

BabbleBee · 15/02/2020 15:51

Poznan is on a little tour of the UK
